HIS HAND IS STRETCHED OUT STILL

Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God and welcome back to this powerful study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God, our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, His Son, our Savior and Lord, and our Helper (Holy Spirit) are so, so good! He gives us His Word that we can know the way into the Promised Land and determine not to take the way of the slothful or slack. Are we going the way of Israel or will we take a better way? The Promised Land, the Promises of God, do not fall upon one, we take them by faith and do the path God leads us upon to possess the manifestation of His goodness for all to see.
Joshua 18:2-3 (KJV)
2 And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.
3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
Before we move forward, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible expanding our reach with the very best news ever spoken by far. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture was taken by our game camera in May of 2020 and as you can see a racoon (Rocky Racoon) is robbing the bird feeder. Now, let’s move to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 9:12-16 (KJV)
12 The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
13 For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
14 Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
15 The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
As you will recall the tribes have divided into the northern kingdom comprised of ten tribes and the southern kingdom comprised of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. They are both rebellious against God and have turned aside to other gods and God is now telling them the consequences of those evil choices. There is still time for repentance but they do not. Woven into this dialogue of God with His people through His Prophet are many wonderful prophecies of the Messiah to come. A Messiah for all peoples. Think upon verse thirteen where we are told that they did not turn, those chose, to God. This is in the permissive in that God is not directly smiting them but He is allowing them to be smitten (by Satan) for they have rebelled and there is now a judgment against them. By this I mean, Satan brought a case to God, as he did with Job, God’s people were found guilty and a sentence was pronounced just as in the case of Job. Repentance was possible just as for Nineveh.
Jonah 3:4-6 (KJV)
4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
Jonah 3:10 (KJV)
10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
Israel did not repent when warned of impending doom just as the Church today is not repenting in the face of impending disaster after disaster coming upon America and the whole earth. Notice in the Tribulation period where the mercy of God was still possible, they would not repent.
Revelation 6:12-17 (KJV)
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
