HOWL YE

Amyrna Methodist Church, Seary Arkansas
Greetings dear saints of God, friends and partners of this Ministry, and welcome back to our Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand our reach with the gospel, the good news, the Truth. Thank you for sharing. Those who share these teachings are vital to this Ministry. The featured picture today is of the Amyrna Methodist Church in Seary Arkansas as a reminder to pray for, to intercede for all saints. The ministry of intercession in all of our lives is essential even life changing and life saving for those around us. Let me remind you of the words of Jesus.
Luke 13:6-9 (KJV)
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
Let us give unfeigned thanksgiving unto God for those obedient people in our past and present who cried out to God in our behalf for Him to have mercy upon us. Now, listen to the Holy Spirit speaking through the Apostle Paul admonishing us to pray for the saints.
Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Now let’s turn our attention to our main Bible text in the Book of Isaiah and please continue reading out loud. Do we want to know one of the reasons we’re not seeing the full manifestation of the Promises of God in our life, we’re not reading out loud with ears to hear? I wish I could tell us that it is due to some mysterious beyond our understanding plan of God, but, no, it’s us.
Isaiah 13:6-10 (KJV)
6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:
8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
The disobedient children of Israel are about to come under the sword of the Assyrians and taken into bondage but there is also a final judgment coming upon the Jewish people in the Great Tribulation. They will ultimately recognize that Jesus is the Messiah and submit unto Him. Unfortunately, it appears that some two thirds of the Jewish population will die and only a third will be left when Jesus steps onto the Mount of Olives and sets up His earthly reign. Notice verse ten of our primary text and the following passages.
Joel 2:31-32 (KJV)
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Matthew 24:29-30 (KJV)
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
O what a day for us all, especially the Jewish remnant left from the Great Tribulation.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
