IF MY PEOPLE – PART TWO
Sunday – April 5, 2020, Nisan 11, 5780
Greetings my dear and precious brothers and sisters in Christ. Welcome back to this Sunday series, today titled “If My People”. By the time you read this the situation with the Corona virus will be in a different but not better place than today (March 18, 2020). The title for this teaching as you may have already recognized comes from a very familiar 2 Chronicles passage. Most of you may be able to quote verse fourteen of the following passage due to seeing it and hearing it so often. I have been hearing this verse prayed, read, and quoted for decades. Why do you suppose this prayer goes unanswered to this day and in fact things have gotten far worse? Are we missing something? Do you suppose He can’t see or hear (legally) us because we don’t have standing or right standing in His court (presence)? Is the land being devoured and are there pestilences among us? Let us turn our attention to the text and read it slowly and reflectively (thoughtfully, meditatively) aloud. Yes, aloud!
2 Chronicles 7:12-16 (KJV)
12 And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
As I proceed with this teaching, I am looking with the leadership of the Holy Spirit to build a firm foundation for verse fourteen. Verse fourteen will happen, the healing of this land, as written when God’s people actually do the verse. Thus far the Church has just quoted the verse and looked to someone else to actually do it (repent). More importantly they, the Church, are looking for the world to change but the verse says that we the Church must change in order for the land to be healed. Let’s take a moment to very carefully look at verse thirteen. Here God is saying that “if” He were to allow drought (famine), or locusts (something to consume wealth), or a pestilence there is an option for His people, a way out. Dear ones, I am a little ahead of myself but there is always a way out with full restoration and that way is repentance. I am not talking about a few or even a lot of tears at the altar, I am (and God is) talking about a full change of mind to come into full agreement with Him, with the Truth, with a change in thinking, talking, and doing. First, I want to address the lack of rain. Rain or water in Scripture often has to do with the Word of God. Could it be that we are not preaching the pure uncorrupted Word of God? Could it be that we are not submitting ourselves to the pure Word of God, the Truth? Where there is no worship there is drought.
Zechariah 14:17 (KJV)
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
No worship, no rain, pure and simple. This is spiritual rain (Word of God) and physical rain (water). The enemy has us convinced that what we are doing with the singing and the music is worship. Worship at its core is submission to God. In that context the song service on Sunday morning (a tradition of men) is a very tiny part of our submission (worship) to God. What about the other 167.5 hours in a week? Unfortunately, many of our “worship songs” are not even Scriptural and no one seems to notice. Why don’t they notice? We have been exposed to the traditions of men and the doctrines of demons so long we think they are the Word of God, the Truth. Oh, how far we have fallen. Consider the song “When You Walk into the Room” (by Bryan & Katie Torwalt). Is Jesus walking into rooms in the earth? Are we walking into rooms anointed of the Holy Spirit in the earth? Is Jesus out roaming the earth and doing things with us as spectators or did He send us into the earth anointed of the Holy Spirit to do the things He did and even greater things? The gigantic problem with this song is that it sounds really good, even right, even religious, but is very wrong say nothing of the rest of the song. It shifts our responsibility to Jesus. That will never happen, He will never do our part. Where is the Scripture that would back this song up? Now that I have the religious spirits riled up, I will quit for today and pick up here next Sunday. By the way a wonderful and great awakening, revival is coming like none other. However, it will be preceded by a great fall (tragic event that finally awakens the Church to their sin) followed by the repentance of the Church as we saw in ancient Israel time and time again.

Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
