AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

JERUSALEM AT PEACE

Greetings precious brothers and sisters in Christ. If you are not a brother or sister in Christ you can be in just a few moments.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
If you prayed this prayer and were translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His (the Fathers’) dear Son (saved), send us a note about the good news. You will not regret this decision especially on the day your body dies. Everybody in this life chooses either Heaven or Hell, God does not choose, we choose. If you think you know what opposites are, you are at a new unimaginable level when comparing Heaven and Hell. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today is of Donna and me at Samoset Resort in Rockport Maine. Moving forward, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 33:19-24 (TLB)
19 But soon they will all be gone. These fierce, violent people with a strange, jabbering language you can’t understand will disappear.
20 Instead you will see Jerusalem at peace, a place where God is worshiped, a city quiet and unmoved.
21 The glorious Lord will be to us as a wide river of protection, and no enemy can cross.
22 For the Lord is our Judge, our Lawgiver and our King; he will care for us and save us.
23 The enemies’ sails hang loose on broken masts with useless tackle. Their treasure will be divided by the people of God; even the lame will win their share.
24 The people of Israel will no longer say, “We are sick and helpless,” for the Lord will forgive them their sins and bless them.
As you will recall, yesterday we were talking about a time in their future, and even our future, but now we are returning to their day, our day. Remember, we look at all things through not just the visible lens of time and place but the spiritual lens. There are spiritual Truths for us to glean from cover to cover in Scripture. This is the fruit of walking in righteousness and giving reverence to God. Let me point out something as we transition from verse nineteen to twenty. An enemy can disappear when you no longer give it your attention. I am talking in the spiritual realm. Where would one’s attention be then? On the Lord the only source of real protection, the only place of real peace. When our focus is on the Lord, the solution of all things, and not the enemy we can walk in perfect peace. Please meditate on the following Scriptures.
Isaiah 26:3 (TLB)
3 He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord!
Psalm 23:1-6 (KJV)
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
The spiritual realm is the superior realm by far, when will we learn to keep our focus on Him and the things of the spirit? What we do in the spirit trumps all that comes in the natural. Our faith filled words (faith in God) set all enemies beneath, far below, our feet. As we look at verse twenty-four remember that He has forgiven all our sin and healed all our disease, let’s take it, and live it by faith. The people of God, those whose God is the Lord can live in prosperity and health in the midst of the worst of storms for the world. Jesus has given us abundance, Satan has given his people stealing, killing, and destroying. It is not our lot to participate in the kingdom of darkness of Satan but the Kingdom of Light, the Kingdom of our dear Lord, Jesus the Christ.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Have a very Merry Christmas and remember what Christmas is all about!
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
