Greetings dear and precious saints of God, friends and partners alike and welcome back to this study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Are you already for the New Year? Now, let’s listen to our primary Bible text from the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 48:20-22 (HCSB)
20 Leave Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans! Declare with a shout of joy, proclaim this, let it go out to the end of the earth; announce, “The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob!”
21 They did not thirst when He led them through the deserts; He made water flow for them from the rock; He split the rock, and water gushed out.
22 “There is no peace for the wicked,” says the LORD.
When we are saved, born again, it seems obvious that we are to leave Babylon, the world system which is the devils system, and get fully on board with the Kingdom of God system. Perhaps it is obvious to some but most have not been taught such a radical idea. Many are not being taught about the Kingdom of God and the laws of the Kingdom of God. Yes, we will be operating in the natural world but with the laws of God working for our benefit. Many are fighting the devil to take back territory or have a victory over him. Dear ones the victory has been won by Christ Jesus; we are to occupy. Satan’s people are illegally in our seats, places of dominion. We are not fighting to get the victory, the victory has already been obtained (2000+ years ago), it is our assignment to occupy till He comes or we go Home.
Luke 19:12-14 (KJV)
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
I suggest you read this parable very carefully as well as the one in Matthew 25 and pay particular attention to the one who did nothing with what the Lord had delivered to him. What about you and me? What have we done with His victory, the return of full authority in the earth with Heaven backing it up, and the full Power of God available as well. Take a moment to reflect on the last verse of this 48th chapter of Isaiah.
Isaiah 48:22 (KJV)
22 There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.
When peace is absent, wickedness is present. No, whatever you are experiencing of the curse is not your cross to bear, there is unrepented wickedness present. Let’s take a very quick look once again at peace from verse 22. This is the Hebrew word transliterated to English as shālôm meaning to be safe, well, happy, friendly, in health, prosperity, and in peace (tranquility) according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.
