NO ONE TO GIVE COUNSEL

Good morning (or whenever you are reading) dear and precious saints of God, friends and partners of this Ministry alike. Before I move forward, I want to extend an invitation to all who are not to become partners with this Ministry. There is more information concerning partnership at the conclusion of this teaching. And don’t forget I have several books I have written and are available on Amazon.

Welcome back to this dynamic teaching of the wonderful and precious Bible Book of Isaiah. Please pause for a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today is of a Church congregation. This is to remind us once again to pray for one another. It is a command that we pray for one another, not a suggestion, a when you think of it, or for those you like.
Ephesians 6:18 (ESV)
18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the wonderful Bible Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 41:25-29 (NIV)
25 “I have stirred up one from the north, and he comes– one from the rising sun who calls on my name. He treads on rulers as if they were mortar, as if he were a potter treading the clay.
26 Who told of this from the beginning, so we could know, or beforehand, so we could say, ‘He was right’? No one told of this, no one foretold it, no one heard any words from you.
27 I was the first to tell Zion, ‘Look, here they are!’ I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good tidings.
28 I look but there is no one– no one among them to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them.
29 See, they are all false! Their deeds amount to nothing; their images are but wind and confusion.
Just to refresh our memories, our text has been talking about deliverance by the Lord in the short term, in the intermediate term, and then long term, the Messiah. Short-term is what we reviewed concerning King Hezekiah, the intermediate term when King Cyrus of Persia restores the people is a couple hundred years down the road when they have yet again rebelled and been taken into captivity. The long-term is the coming of Messiah which is some 600 – 700 years away. One might wonder what is going through these people minds. In order for them to need a delivery from bondage in the future they must have been taken into bondage. Did that keep them focused on the Lord? No, not at all. What about us? Back to our text. The Lord is taunting, really ridiculing the people for turning to these false gods who have absolutely zero power and are able to provide zero counsel.
Lord willing, I will pick up with Isaiah chapter forty-two tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
PRAYERS AND QUESTIONS – please contact us and we will respond. Our goal is to build a solid foundation upon which children of God can become sons of God, stand and do exploits in Jesus’ name.
PARTNERSHIP AND GIVING – Those of you who are not Partners of this Ministry and you find this ministry to be of value to you and perhaps others with whom you share it, we ask you to consider becoming Partners. A Partner is one who prays for the Ministry on a regular basis and contributes to the Ministry on a regular basis (monthly, quarterly, annually). Thank you and may the Lord be pleased with your decision.
