PERFECT EXPRESSION

Greetings dear children of God, precious brothers and sisters in the Kingdom of God. Welcome back to this wonderful, enlightening, and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment as we start to share this teaching by every means available to you expanding our reach with the gospel of the Kingdom. The picture today is of Donna and me taken just over three years ago. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 26:1-4 (KJV)
1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
Today I will again pick up with verse three of our text. As you have already seen the title of this teaching is “Perfect Expression”. Our Scripture says that the Lord will keep us in “perfect peace” when we discipline ourselves to be focused on Him. Now be sure to understand, to know, that simply thinking about Scripture and/or about God is just the start, we must trust Him, His Word. The word “trust” is a synonym for faith, belief, conviction, dependence, expectation, even hope. Remember the Bible description of faith.
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The word ‘substance’ here can also be interpreted as the foundation. Therefore, the things we have hoped for (past tense) stand upon the foundation of our faith, our trust in the Word and the person of God. Our declaration of faith and the required accompanying actions are the evidence of our faith or trust. Remember what the Apostle James taught us about this?
James 2:14-19 (KJV)
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
We cannot and do not work for our salvation but doing the works of the Kingdom following salvation is evidence of our faith in the Kingdom and our obligations. Remember these two Scriptures?
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Seeking the Kingdom of God is not some academic exercise or a really lively song service but it is doing the works of the Kingdom.
2 Timothy 2:21 (KJV)
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
As we get away from the ways of the world, sin, we are a vessel of honor that God can use to do the work of the Kingdom. I am still talking about Isaiah 26:3 and trust which also means faith. Perfect peace cannot manifest without faith in God, in His Word.
Lord willing, I will pick up with more revelation of verse three next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
