REPENT OF WHAT? PART FOUR

Another Sunday, greetings to all the dear saints of God, friends, and partners of The Three Minute Word blog. Welcome back to this short Sunday series titled “Repent of What?” If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to share and if you reading on another platform please share. This series was inspired when I realized that the Church was in a complete bewilderment that they might have things to repent. Repentance is a wonderful gift of God. Repentance is the way out of any mess. I’m talking real repentance which involves a heart change not just a few tears and good sounding words. A heart change will include agreement with God that we have sinned, it will include a change of thought on the topic and change of conversation concerning the topic. It will include asking God to forgive and cleanse us with His Blood and it will include us verbally receiving our forgiveness with thanksgiving. In our thanksgiving comes the victory.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 (KJV)
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
When we give the thanks, He brings the victory. For this cause, the cause of victory in our Lord Jesus Christ, we are to be steadfast and unmovable in the Word and our God given assignments. Otherwise, our labors will have been and be in defeat, in vain (unproductive). Have we been walking consistently in thanksgiving and obtaining the victory in our Lord Jesus? Could this be an area for repentance? Have we been steadfast and unmovable or have we wavered and not gotten the desired result? Could this be an area for repentance?
What is the price of not walking with the Lord, in love with the Lord? Perhaps you just exclaimed, “I’m walking with the Lord, I love the Lord!”
Amos 3:3 (KJV)
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
I suspect most Christians would quickly say that they are walking with the Lord, but are we? To walk with the Lord would mean that we are walking as He walked (lived). Was Jesus poor? Did Jesus have sickness in His life? Was there evidence of the Power of God in His life? Any room for repentance here? If one were to believe that God is in control of the details of all of our lives and the events in the earth which is contrary to the whole of Scripture, are we in agreement with the Lord? If we are not in agreement, are we walking together? Any room for repentance here? Consider the following Scripture.
Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Jesus is talking to you and me. He is addressing those who are laboring (not a Kingdom thing) and are heavy laden (also not a Kingdom thing). This is a part of the price of not walking with the Lord, our path (life) will involve labor and heavy loads. Should we repent and ask Him to show us His way, a much better way? Notice in verse twenty-eight that the person is not walking with Jesus, probably think they are, they are laboring and are heavy laden in life and their work for the Lord. Perhaps they even see that as a badge of honor. Is it? Seems to me it would be wise to repent and come to Him and as it says in the next verse learn of Him. Do you think that Jesus likely knows the optimal way to do everything He has called us to do? Should we submit ourselves to Him (the Word) and learn from Him? He says in this way we can find rest for our souls. Seems like a good idea, people are at their wits end (troubled hearts/minds) in and out of the Church. In the final windup here, Jesus tells us that if we will walk in agreement with Him, we will find His yoke easy and His burden light. What do you say we repent of striving in our own power by our own will and we submit to Him enjoy the easy yoke and light burden?
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
