SALVATION

Greetings dear and precious saints of the ONLY living God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog and our study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Isn’t the Word just wonderful? It is a Book of life, the ONLY Book of Life. If we will do this Book, we will be bringing the will of God into the earth, and days of Heaven upon the earth. As far as it concerns us, we can know and do the will of God and yes, we can even have days of Heaven upon the earth. It is our choice. So, let’s think about why we are not seeing the will of God in our lives, seeing days of Heaven upon the earth. Throw that poverty and suffer till we die theology into the ditch, it is a demonic lie. I don’t care who told you, get rid of it! We are studying Isaiah, why did hardship come to the children of God time after time? Not doing the will of God! Challenges come to all of us, the question is this, have we killed our flesh and have we denied the prince of the world a place in us.
We must realize we are the gatekeeper of our lives. We must distinguish between being presented with the temptation to bring the curse into our lives and the curse actually being present. You and I made decisions perhaps this morning perhaps decades ago that have brought us to this precise moment in time. God has given us choices and said, you chose. If the religious spirits reading this with you aren’t too upset, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. Please continue reading out loud. The featured picture today is of Donna and me on our wedding day four years ago tomorrow.
Isaiah 42:7-12 (KJV)
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
10 Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.
Today I’m going to pick up with verse nine once again. Let’s look at this verse in the Message Bible first. As mentioned yesterday I will focus in on the word salvation.
Isaiah 42:9 (MSG)
9 Take note: The earlier predictions of judgment have been fulfilled. I’m announcing the new salvation work. Before it bursts on the scene, I’m telling you all about it.”
In review from yesterday there are two things I mentioned as I brought that teaching to a close. One is that the phrase in the KJV version “new things” means to rebuild, repair, do fresh, or to renew. We are talking about a return to life as the Garden of Eden, life as Heaven on earth that comes with doing the Word and no other words. It seems to me that the general meanings of “new things” is much like salvation. The word salvation is used in the Message Bible. From the Thesaurus synonyms of this word salvation are redemption, deliverance, rescue, recovery, and escape.
In the Old Testament the word translated to English from Hebrew is yeshûʿâ meaning deliverance, hence aid, victory, prosperity, health, help, and welfare according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. In the New Testament salvation comes from the root Greek word translated to English as sōzō meaning to save, deliver, protect (literal or figurative), heal, preserve, cause to do well, and be (make) whole according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. I think we can see here that God has nothing but good in mind with our salvation, our rescue from sin, from darkness, from the prisons of Satan. I don’t see any of this demonic theology that we can just expect to be cuffed (hit, slapped) around from time to time so we can learn to appreciate the Lord. Dear ones, God is nothing but good and He never makes the primary choice for evil to enter our lives, we do.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Tomorrow’s teaching is on the Feast of the Lord known as Pentecost. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
