AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

SNARED AND BROKEN
Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God and welcome back to the teachings on Isaiah which enlighten and strengthen. This does not happen automatically just because you clicked on this and read it maybe even saying amen or some other encouragement as you read. It becomes real light and power (authority and power) when received, proven, believed, implemented in love, led of the Holy Spirit. Before we move on, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. Only the Truth will make one free, not religion, not the traditions of men, nor the doctrines of demons. You know this is the Truth, you witness it week after week in Churches across the nation. The featured picture today of my beautiful wife Donna and myself was taken a few weeks ago at the Leander Church of God in Leander Texas (near Austin). We had a wonderful time of fellowship and ministry. Two day until Christmas! Remember this is a time to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus, the only way to the Father, the only true God. This is not a time to accumulate debt or be stressed out with family pressures. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in Isaiah and continue reading out loud. Yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 8:13-15 (KJV)
13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
This people, God’s people, failed to sanctify the Lord, to make Him their sanctuary and thus He became a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence. This was true for God’s people in the time of Isaiah (and many times before and after) and with the coming of the Word Who became flesh. Like Eve (and Adam) they thought the devils had a better game in town. From Adam to now, God’s people have been partaking of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It is having the same consequences in our lives as theirs.
Genesis 2:16-17 (KJV)
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Is there death in your life, both physical and spiritual? Remember that the only thing the demons come to do is steal, kill, and destroy.
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
That is what the thief (the serpent) did that day in the Garden and is doing in any life that will allow him today. Are we allowing him into our lives, giving him place? Demons who bring the curse gain access when we mix any amount of evil with good (righteousness). That is what brought the curse into the whole earth on that awful day of sin and death in the Garden of Eden. Let’s take a moment and remind ourselves how this Book started.
Isaiah 1:4 (KJV)
4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
This is America today and the Church in America bears the full responsibility of this rebellion. These people and we today want to go our own way all the while confessing we love the Lord yet not doing the Word. Let’s look carefully at the following verse again and judge ourselves.
Isaiah 8:15 (KJV)
15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
Taken by whom? Rebellion against the Word makes us easy prey for our enemies for in that process we become increasingly deaf, blind, having a hard heart, and a stiff neck. I know this seems harsh, it is the message the Lord has given me, it can save not only our lives, but our families. When Job forsook the Lord as his sanctuary getting into fear and leaning to his own understanding it cost him his fortune and the lives of his children.
Have a very Merry Christmas not forsaking the reason for this season, this day, Jesus Christ. Remember the word ‘Christmas’ is a compound word. Christ is the Messiah, the Savior, and mas means a celebration of. The celebration is of the Savior who came for us, He did not need salvation, we desperately needed salvation. Thank you, Father, thank you Jesus, and thank you Holy Spirit.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Monday. We love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
