SPIRIT OF MIGHT

Greetings my precious brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and welcome back to this insightful, and faith producing therefore Power producing for the Kingdom, study of the Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of these teachings, the gospel, the Truth. You are an important part of this Ministry. Thank you for sharing, may the Lord bless you richly. The beautiful picture featured today was also provided by our good friend and faithful man of God, Joe Getchell Jr. Last week we started a study of the eleventh chapter of Isaiah and have been discussing the Seven Spirits of the Lord also mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
Revelation 1:4 (KJV)
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
Who is “him which is, and which was, and which is to come”? This is the Lord Jesus, the Christ. These seven Spirits with which He was Anointed in His earthly Ministry are today attentive to Him (and us in Him) before that Throne which is at the right hand of the Father. We dear ones are seated there with and in Him and they are attentive to us. Why? We are carrying on the mission of the Anointing in the earth. Isaiah 11:2 could be written about us, those of use born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I generally add the part about speaking in tongues for there are those who believe we receive all of the Holy Spirit we will ever have at salvation. Certainly, all of the potential of the Holy Spirit is present at salvation but not in operation. If a second experience were not Scripture, we would have to tear the Book of Acts from the Bible. Consider the following verses.
Acts 19:2 (KJV)
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
These were believers, saved, born again, new creations in Christ Jesus.
Acts 19:6 (KJV)
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Let’s turn to our primary text, today we come to the Spirit of Might. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary text and continue reading out loud.
Isaiah 11:1-4 (KJV)
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Today I am briefly focused on the Spirit of Might. As you have probably already guessed it means pretty what we might think at first glance but let’s dig a little deeper. According to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary this word from the Hebrew is a feminine noun denoting strength, power, might. This word depicts the nature of God’s mighty deeds. It describes the strength of the Lord’s right hand that delivers His anointed (Ps. 20:6[7]), meaning all of His powerful acts as well as His power and might in general according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – Old Testament. Wow! This is on us and in us dear ones! Know it, believe it, doubt it not, and let the Holy Spirit lead each of us into the fulness of this Might functioning through us (and me). This is essential to our mission in the earth. We are not in the earth to just hang on tight until we are out of here. We have work to do, we are the sons of God.
Tomorrow I will be discussing the Feast of Purim but we will return and pick up right here next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
