THE ANGER OF THE LORD
Greetings to our dear and precious brothers and sisters in the faith and those who are not yet a part of the House of Faith. The House of Faith is the Kingdom of God. Welcome back to this wonderful study of the beautiful Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give us His Word so that we need not wander around in a fog. Please take a moment to share this teaching to expand the reach of this Ministry by itself. Do whatever you need to do to get it done. The information to share is readily available, be not slothful. Yesterday before delving into our Isaiah text, I spent a little time on a subject the Lord brought forth to me during the song service Sunday and again on Monday morning. It has to do with how little things, things that perhaps we have been taught are right, but are not, hinder or prevent victory. Many of the songs that are sung during our erroneously named “praise and worship” service contain ideas, phrases that are not of God. This particular song said we were waiting for the Power of God to come. Come from where, since the Holy Spirit and Power is everywhere present. He is within us and all over us. There is no manifestation of the Holy Spirit that did not emanate from a person or by the permission of a person. We have all authority in the earth dear ones and have been given the Blessing (Holy Spirit and Power) to enforce that authority when released in faith, powered of love, without doubt, and led of the Spirit (the Father). Failure to receive, believe, and act upon this Truth may be the greatest hindrance facing the Church. Little seemingly inconsequential thoughts, words, and actions and keep us from our destiny. Inconsequential to our own reasonings not the reasonings of God. Remember this.
Song of Songs 2:15 (CJB)
15 “Catch the foxes for us, yes, the little foxes! They are ruining the vineyards when our vineyards are in bloom!”
What are the little foxes in your vineyard, in mine? Now let’s dive into our primary Bible text continuing to read aloud, yes, out loud, building our faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
Isaiah 5:22-25 (KJV)
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Yesterday I dealt with verse twenty-four and the awful consequences of our work (thoughts, words, actions) being consumed by the Holy Spirit fire. All because we did not honor the Word of God. Perhaps we thought we were honoring the Word of God but in our lack of study we were lazy and just received of others, we were not good Bereans (Acts 17:11). Many times, other words get honored and not the Word of the Lord. We honor the traditions of men which are without power and the doctrines of demons which of course lack the Power of God but worse allow the curse into our lives. Not honoring His Word angers the Lord and brings judgment. Remember, the Word of the Lord is Jesus! Not honoring the Word of the Lord is not honoring Jesus, the One who came and paid the price of our sin. Put yourself in the place of the Father and see what you think. Notice from our text that the anger of the Lord is kindled against His people, not the heathen. Yes, the heathen will come into judgment and the same laws apply but a father, in this case our Heavenly Father is focused on His family not the devils. Look at this twenty-fifth verse in the Complete Jewish Bible.
Isaiah 5:25 (CJB)
25 This is why Adonai’s anger blazed up against his people, why he stretched out his hand against them and struck them [so hard that] the hills shook, and corpses lay like trash in the streets. Even after all this, his anger remains, his upraised hand still threatens.
What brings judgment to an end, lowers the Hand of God? Repentance, true repentance of the heart which requires a change of thought, of speech, and action.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
