Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this study of the precious Bible Book of Isaiah. One cannot study this Bible Book or for that matter much of the Bible without coming away with the knowledge that man has a freewill and makes decisions to his or her own detriment or benefit. Leaders may make decisions at all levels that brings good or evil throughout the congregation, community, state, or nation. God gave freewill starting right at the get go.
Genesis 1:26 (NIV)
26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” (Bold added)
God will not control our decisions and the devil cannot. Please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. These teachings are going all over the world dear ones, be a part of that. We have readers in eastern Europe, the middle east, western Africa, Central America, and throughout the United States. The featured picture today was provided by Marilyn Stevens showing a momma bird feeding her baby. Marilyn takes really beautiful pictures especially of birds and other wildlife.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the wonderful Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 51:4-7 (NIV)
4 “Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation: The law will go out from me; my justice will become a light to the nations.
5 My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail.
7 “Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have my law in your hearts: Do not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults.
It seems to me that the fifth verse is Messianic looking forward to the coming Messiah (Jesus) and the expectancy of the nations to receive the Messiah. They, the nations, are in hope, looking for a definite appearance which is certain, for the One who will bring righteousness, salvation, and justice. All of this is available and present in a measure today, since the Cross and Resurrection but will not be fully manifest until the Millennial Reign and beyond. This reminds me of what lies just ten chapter ahead and Jesus read in part in the Synagogue at the start of His Ministry as a man in the earth.
Isaiah 61:1-4 (NIV)
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion– to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
As you may know this is not the end of the passage but this gives us a clear idea of what today is supposed to look like. Does it? No! Why? Unbelief in the Church. Remember the sons of God, you and me, have the authority in faith, powered by love, led of the Holy Spirit to bring about the wonderful things spoken of in Isaiah 61 and in the gospels and the Book of Acts before His return to Heaven.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
