Greetings dear saints of God, followers and partners with this Ministry. Today I am continuing our study of The Kingdom of God. This was the major thrust of Jesus’ earthly Ministry and therefore of ours. Really, the whole Bible if you are looking for it is instructing us in Kingdom of God living. Can you imagine there is a better life now or later than the life the Kingdom of God makes available? Yes, I am a prosperity teacher, prosperity in every arena of life, for that is what the Bible teaches. That is not to say that we are not presented with opportunities to fail, and in so doing suffer, but that is our choice, not God’s. Now that I have everyone riled up let’s turn to our anchor/golden text.
Matthew 6:33 (AMP)
33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
So, what is to be first in our lives? His Kingdom and His righteousness. The Kingdom of God has a King (capital upper case K), and His name is Jesus, and He has authority over those who have chosen Him as Lord. We are kings (lower case k) in this wonderful Kingdom. We are not soldiers or servants. The angels (armies of Heaven) are soldiers, and we serve by our freewill not compulsion. This Kingdom, like all other kingdoms, is regulated or administered by laws. We are to abide by these laws and use these laws for our benefit and the benefit of others.
Luke 6:20 (KJV)
20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
Is Jesus advocating poverty indicating that is how to be blessed and gain the Kingdom of God? What kind of a blessing would that be, a blessing of poverty, the curse? Let’s see what the blessing does.
Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)
22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Yes, that is riches in this world’s goods! Jesus said He came to give us an abundant life which seems to me the opposite of being poor.
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The very first Words from Jesus mouth quoting Isaiah 61 was saying that He was Anointed to preach good news to the poor.
Luke 4:18 (KJV)
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
What about the words of the Apostle John by inspiration of the Holy Spirit?
3 John 1:2 (KJV)
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
It seems rather clear that the Lord wants us prosperous. Even our anchor Scripture tells us that as we do the will of God all the things of this life will be added. Beyond our needs, the necessities of everyday life are our wants. He even sees to those.
Psalm 23:1 (KJV)
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Who has influence and can make things happen, the poor man or the rich man? What brings poorness of every type?
Deuteronomy 28:15 (KJV)
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
To see what brings prosperity of every type meditate Deuteronomy 28:1-2.

Lord willing, I will resume right here next Saturday. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
