CALIFORNIA STATEHOUSE
Greetings precious saints, it is another beautiful Monday, a time for victory and triumph in the midst of our thanksgiving! No matter our situations, how does Heaven see it? Welcome back to this wonderful and powerful Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. I will be continuing with the 14th Chapter today. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. Thank you for sharing. Those who share these teachings are an integral part of expanding the reach of this Ministry. The featured picture today is of the California Statehouse as a way to remind us all to pray for ALL those in authority. Bless and do not curse, call those in darkness from the darkness into the light, do not permit wickedness, and permit righteousness. America is a Blood Covenant nation before God as is Israel (only two on the earth). Some may dispute that we are a Covenant nation but let me present just a small amount of evidence starting with the Mayflower Compact of November 11, 1620.
MAYFLOWER COMPACT
“We whose names are underwriten, the loyall subjects of our dread soveraigne Lord King James, by the grace of God, of Great Britaine, Franc, & Ireland king, defender of the faith, &c., having undertaken, for the glorie of God, and advancemente of the Christian faith, and honour of our king and countrie,”
When we examine the Constitutions of the fifty states all but one (Oregon) acknowledges their dependence upon God. For example, notice this small excerpt from the Constitution of California.
CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
ADOPTED IN CONVENTION, AT SACRAMENTO,
MARCH THIRD, EIGHTEEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-NINE; RATIFIED BY A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE ON WEDNESDAY, MAY SEVENTH, EIGHTEEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-NINE.
PREAMBLE AND DECLARATION OF RIGHTS.
PREAMBLE.
WE, the People of the State of California, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, in order to secure and perpetuate its blessings, do establish this Constitution.
Are the people of California still “grateful to Almighty God” and craft their laws to “in order to secure and perpetuate its blessings”? What about your State, my State, our Nation?
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in Isaiah and continue reading out loud. You know why!
Isaiah 14:1-7 (KJV)
1 For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
The Prophet Isaiah is the man in the earth whom He is speaking and decreeing through in our text. The Prophet Isaiah is thought to have lived between 760-673 BC. The Northern Kingdom of Israel falls during this time to the Assyrians and the Southern Kingdom sometime later (586 BC) to the Babylonians. Zerubbabel rebuilds the Temple in the time frame of 520-516 BC and Nehemiah rebuilds the walls of Jerusalem and governs Judah 444-432 BC. There is a great regathering of the Jews to their homeland in the time of Nehemiah. I do not see that this is the time Isaiah (the Lord through him) is addressing. Although the Jews did return to the land, they were never really free. They were next under the Greeks and then under the Romans and then scattered again in 70 AD. Before and following Israel becoming a sovereign nation on May 14th 1948 there has been a continual return of Jews to their native land, the land that God Himself deeded to them. However, this does not seem to be the time either for they have not been free of those who would oppress, sorrow or fear. However, I believe this time (right now) is the birth pains of the freedom to follow the Tribulation and Second Coming of Christ.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
