THE SECRET PLACE – THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY
PART TWO

Greetings precious children, sons, and daughter of God and welcome back to this intensive Sunday Bible Study. God is so good to give us His Word to guide our thoughts, words, and ways. Please take a moment, now, to share this teaching as widely as possible expanding the reach of this Ministry and fulfilling your part with us in disseminating the gospel. The featured picture this week, like last week, is a physical representation of a person being protected.
Hopefully everyone reading this recognizes the title as coming from the 91st Psalm. Our protection starts in the spiritual realm and extends into the physical. It starts with obedience to the Word of God. Not here and there obedience but day in and day out obedience to the Word.
Deuteronomy 28:14-15 (KJV)
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: (Bold added)
Did you notice the “if” in verse fifteen? Is God in control of our listening, looking, and doing? How much curse do each of us want in our lives? Is a little okay so we can attempt to satisfy a particular lust of the flesh? What brings the manifestation of God into our lives?
John 14:15 (KJV)
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Love (agape) of God is keeping His commandments! Did you notice that great big “if”?
John 14:21 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Our keeping His commandments allows, provides the legal avenue, for Him to manifest in our lives whether it be for our protection, finances, healing, etc. Salient to this study, protection (spiritual to physical) is not automatic and is attained the same as salvation. How were we saved?
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
So, if we will confess Jesus as Lord with our mouth, believe that in our heart, and that the Father raised Him from the dead we are saved. Everything in the Kingdom of God is attained exactly the same way! Is this what you hear preached from week to week? I will now ask, how are we, each of us, going to dwell in the secret place of the most High and abide in the shadow of the Almighty? Same as we see in Romans 10:9 above. Examine the following excerpts from Psalm 91.
Psalm 91:9-11 (KJV)
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
The Psalmist tells that because we (thee) have made the Lord our refuge, our habitation no evil will befall us nor will any plague (like COVID-19) came near us. In addition, the Lord sends the angels as ministering spirits to watch over us, to keep us. How did we make God our refuge and habitation? By confessing with our mouth and believing in our heart. Remember Mark 11:23-24? First let’s review the following Psalm 91 passage.
Psalm 91:1-3 (KJV)
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Examine verse two first. We have to say! My saying puts me in the secret place, the shadow of the Almighty and then I am delivered from the snares of the fowler and all pestilence.
Mark 11:23-24 (KJV)
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
When we are not going to the left or the right after other gods, confessing our position (protection) we are protected. Disobedience or rebellion concerning the ordinances of man (1 Peter 2:13) take us outside of God’s protection zone. Lord willing, I will pick up here next Sunday.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
