THERE WAS NO MAN
Video link: https://youtu.be/eAQA9DNxTJc
Greetings dear and precious saints of God. Even if you are not a saint of God you are still precious to Him and therefore to us. He paid the highest price ever paid for each of us to have the option of redemption. Dear ones, it is not about Church, although that is very important, it is about a personal relationship with the Redeemer, Christ Jesus, His Father, and His Holy Spirit. The featured picture today is of this beautiful Church in Kents Hill, Maine. The purpose for the image is to remind us all to intercede for our brothers and sister around us, our Church, and the Church at large. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text today in the wonderful Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 59:15-18 (NASB)
15 Yes, truth is lacking; And he who turns aside from evil makes himself a prey. Now the LORD saw, And it was displeasing in His sight that there was no justice.
16 And He saw that there was no man, And was astonished that there was no one to intercede; Then His own arm brought salvation to Him, And His righteousness upheld Him.
17 He put on righteousness like a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; And He put on garments of vengeance for clothing And wrapped Himself with zeal as a mantle.
18 According to their deeds, so He will repay, Wrath to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; To the coastlands He will make recompense.
I left off yesterday talking about the lack of Truth in and out of the Church and how those who do find and speak the Truth become a prey for the established Church. As we gaze and meditate upon the fifteenth verse, we find that God sees this and is not pleased for it is an injustice to the speaking the Truth. God is looking for a man. What kind of man (male or female)?
Ezekiel 22:29-31 (NASB)
29 “The people of the land have practiced oppression and committed robbery, and they have wronged the poor and needy and have oppressed the sojourner without justice.
30 “I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.
31 “Thus I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; their way I have brought upon their heads,” declares the Lord GOD.
God is looking for an intercessor to stand between Him and the people, disobedient people. Thank God for intercessors. America needs more intercessors to stand in the gap that we not come into further judgment. The lack of Truth and ineptitude of the Church has turned our government, our streets, our culture, over to the kingdom of darkness. When will repentance come?
In the latter part of the sixteenth verse of our primary text we find the Lord Himself standing in the gap due to His Covenant with His friend Abraham and amplified through King David. Dear ones this is where we find America today. How long will He stand in the gap until it would be unjust to others?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
