I AM GOD
Greetings precious saints of the only Living God, the only God who can save from the wrath to come. And welcome back to this informative and though provoking study of the Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The Truth is sorely needed in the world to bring light and in the Church to drive out the traditions of men and the doctrines of demons. Dear brothers and sisters let us determine in our hearts to be good Berean’s. Let us prove every word, seeing if it be true or not.
Acts 17:10-11 (NLT)
10 That very night the believers sent Paul and Silas to Berea. When they arrived there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.
11 And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.
This is a lot of work but far better than believing and acting on traditions and doctrines of demons. We will not see God manifest in your life beyond salvation and speaking tongues perhaps believing lies. Remember, it is the Truth that makes us free. Free of what? All the bondages of the curse! Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and continue reading out loud, yes, out loud. It is not a complete waste to read silently but you will not build or increase faith (Romans 10:17) and it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). Now, to our text reading out loud.
Isaiah 46:6-10 (NLT)
6 Some people pour out their silver and gold and hire a craftsman to make a god from it. Then they bow down and worship it!
7 They carry it around on their shoulders, and when they set it down, it stays there. It can’t even move! And when someone prays to it, there is no answer. It can’t rescue anyone from trouble.
8 “Do not forget this! Keep it in mind! Remember this, you guilty ones.
9 Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.
10 Only I can tell you the future before it even happens.
Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.
As we continue in our text the Lord continues talking to His people not the devils’ people but those He has chosen and have claimed Him as God. The problem is that they have made Him one of many other gods becoming polytheistic (believing in multiple deities) like the heathen around about. The Lord has just pointed out how useless these idols and false gods are through His Prophet Isaiah and again reminds then to remember what He has done in the past. Once again, He proclaims that He and He alone is God and there are no other gods, period. Verses nine and ten in the New Living Translation are considerably different that what we are used to seeing in the King James Version of the Bible.

9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
As I bring the teaching for today to a close, I want us to read verse ten very carefully. One of the very worst deceptions of the devil is this idea that God is in control of everything, that somehow, He is involved in everything and even though we don’t understand it must be His will. This would include the day-to-day activities of our lives. Knowing something and causing something to happen are two very different things. As I have pointed out many times having authority and having control are also very different things, any parent or boss knows this. There is no question that God has an overarching plan and He will accomplish that plan however He does not make anyone do anything. That is to say controlling them like a puppet or robot. Let me put it this way, He will get it done with or without you. Have you ever wondered how many people He looked at, even approached, before He found the man Abram who would make Covenant with Him to bring the Messiah?
