AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM
Greetings precious children of God, the new year is upon us and much lies ahead that will separate the sheep from the goats. There will be wonderful times of victory and great manifestations of the Spirit for many in the body of Christ for those who have been preparing and a very challenging time for those who have not. The number twenty-two (22) is the number of light. Are we walking in the light or do we just think we are walking in the light? The light is God Himself. It is also the pure Anointed Word of God, the Truth. It is not the traditions of men or the doctrines of demons. Have each of us been asking ourselves why we believe what we believe and proved it by Scripture. All must be proven by Scripture not by the Pastor, grandma or anyone else, and certainly not by the various commentaries available.
Before I proceed further, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible. Thank you for sharing. If you didn’t share you might ask yourself why not. The featured picture today was taken at the Wildlife Ranch just outside of San Antonio. Now let’s prepare to read our primary text from the wonderful Bible Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud. It only seems awkward because we have been ashamed of the gospel except in Church, and we were not taught correctly concerning the importance of saying aloud the Words of God. Nothing, I repeat, nothing gets done until it comes out of our mouth. God is not out there doing this that and the other as He wills. He passed authority in the earth to man and He will not violate that law and moves only on His Words in a man’s (or woman’s) mouth spoken in faith, in love, without doubt, and as He leads. His idea not mine. Now, let’s move to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 8:19-22 (KJV)
19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
21 And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
22 And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.
The Lord through Isaiah was telling that people then and us now that we are to consult the law and the rest of the Covenant for our guidance. The world does not speak these words for there is no light (Anointed light) in them, neither can there be, they are darkness. Let’s again look to the New Living Translation for increased clarity.
Isaiah 8:20 (NLT)
20 Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark.
21 They will go from one place to another, weary and hungry. And because they are hungry, they will rage and curse their king and their God. They will look up to heaven
22 and down at the earth, but wherever they look, there will be trouble and anguish and dark despair. They will be thrown out into the darkness.
Does any of this sound like people from whom we should be getting advice in the conduct of life? As listen to those in the world, even many in the Church, we find contradictions to the Word of God as they walk in darkness. Those in the Church suppose they are in the light but their light is great darkness. All of us know these people, hopefully they are not us, they are hungry for Truth but unable to find it and they rage against authority and God. We have seen this big time with the Coronavirus pandemic, saint and sinner alike. We hear saint and sinner alike saying “no one is going to tell me what to do”. Really? Does this include God? The only time we have God’s permission to violate civil law is when it is crossways God’s moral law. There are many examples of this in Scripture (Joseph, Daniel, Hebrew children, Moses’ parents). Wearing a mask, social distancing, getting a vaccine, and limiting group sizes does not violate God’s Law. Many cry out about the First Amendment to the Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and as important as the first amendment and all the others might be, they are not a Bible verse.
Consider verse twenty-two. Does this verse remind us of any other verses? What about this one?
Matthew 25:30 (KJV)
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
I can’t speak for you, but I find these verses, and they are not rare, very sobering. Lord willing, I will pick up with chapter nine tomorrow. Remember we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
