AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH
Greetings dear children of God and welcome back to our Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. This is a powerful (of course they all are) Book with many Prophecies of the coming Messiah. As we move forward, please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry, the reach of the Truth. Thank you for sharing. For the last three days before we dove into our primary Scripture I asked the question, “Where are the David’s of today? I am talking about the David who was a shepherd boy and God chose to be King, then called him a man after His own heart (1 Sam 13:14, Acts 13:22)?” Were the lion, the bear, and Goliath at Church or in his prayer closet? Do we see David engaged in any special preparations before each encounter? The answer to both is a resounding “yes”, his capacity, his relationship with God, his faith in God started in his prayer chamber (shepherds’ fields) and each was preparation for what followed. Think of the account of his life, and the many Psalms he penned all of which he and no doubt others used then and we use today to build faith and encourage ourselves. There are many Goliath’s in the land taunting the Church, where is the David? Are you a David? You remember when Goliath confronted the armies of Israel they were paralyzed (like the Church today). Satan and his evil hoards are confronting the armies (kings and priests) of God today.
1 Samuel 17:23-24 (KJV)
23 And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.
24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.
David sees this giant that has been taunting God’s people for forty days. Forty is the number of testing and God’s people are failing miserably but a champion is about to arise.
1 Samuel 17:26 (KJV)
26 And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
David reminds them that is giant does not have a Covenant with God do we. What is the responsibility and the reward of the promise? In this case kill the giant and then get the pretty girl and pay no taxes.
1 Samuel 17:45-46 (KJV)
45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
You know the story, David runs toward the giant, fells him with one blow of a rock from his sling, cuts off his head, and the Philistine army then cuts and runs. Suddenly the armies of Israel have courage. Perhaps I don’t need to but I want to remind each of us but today our foes are not flesh and blood but spiritual. We fight (and win) against the evil spirit forces behind the natural peoples (Ephesians 6:12). Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Scripture and continue reading aloud. You have been reading out loud, right? You know why!
Isaiah 9:6-9 (KJV)
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
8 The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
9 And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,
As I pick up with verse seven, we are focused on the Messiah, the King of kings, the Great High Priest, the Christ, the Lord and Savior ruling and establishing judgment and justice. The word ‘judgment’ is to make a decision, render a verdict concerning all matters. The word ‘justice’ can also be interpreted as righteous meaning all His judgments are right.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it!
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
