Greetings precious children of God and all reading who are not children of God. If you are not a child of God but a child of Satan, change Kingdoms right now.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Welcome to the Kingdom of God! Now, welcome back to the Bible study of this wonderful Book of Isaiah. The featured picture today of seven ancient pillars is to remind us to pray for each and every one of the pillars (gates, mountains, spheres of influence).
Proverbs 9:1 (PassionNTPsa)
1 Wisdom has built herself a palace upon seven pillars to keep it secure.
The world is a mess, our nation is in a mess, in sharp decline, and it is not the world’s fault, it is the fault of a compromised, complacent, lazy, apathetic Church. Much of the Church is praying for God to fix the problems in the earth or get us out of here before it gets worse. Hate to be the one to tell you dear ones, not going to happen independent of our repentance and obedience. People in Churches everywhere enjoy talking about 2 Chronicles 7:14 and encourage people to pray so that God will heal the land. They dance all around the vital part of the verse about His (Gods’) people repenting.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 51:9-12 (NIV)
9 Awake, awake! Clothe yourself with strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in days gone by, as in generations of old. Was it not you who cut Rahab to pieces, who pierced that monster through?
10 Was it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made a road in the depths of the sea so that the redeemed might cross over?
11 The ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
12 “I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mortal men, the sons of men, who are but grass,
Verse nine is a little confusing until you take it in the context of verse ten. Verse ten is clearly pointing to the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt across the Red Sea into the wilderness. Who is talking verse nine and who are they talking too. The speaker has changed from God to Isaiah, no doubt the Lord speaking through him. As a servant, a Prophet of the Lord he is challenging the Lord to awake on behalf of His people. Where has Isaiah been all this time, the Lord has been talking for chapters to arose His people. As we go into verse eleven Isaiah returns to prophesying and seems to go far into the future, even for us. Some might argue that this verse is describing May 14, 1948 when Israel became a nation or even during the 1967 war when the Temple Mount was taken and Jerusalem became a unified city under Israeli authority. However, this 11th verse may be pointing to the Second Coming of Christ. The day when Jesus sets foot on the Mount of Olives, walks across the Kidron Valley and enters Jerusalem and the Temple through the Eastern Gate. O what a day!
As I wind it up with verse twelve, we see the Lord telling His people that it is He who comforts them why would, do they fear men. That word “comfort” can mean to avenge. These men (peoples) whom you fear will soon be gone and will not be seen again like the Egyptians at the Red Sea. Generally speaking, their human enemies and ours will be as grass, here today and gone tomorrow with a very poor end without repentance. The demonic powers behind them are already sentenced to the Lake of Fire forever.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
