AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH
Tuesday – June 15, 2021, Tamuz 5, 5781
YOUR COUNTRY IS DESOLATE
Greetings to all the children of God the Father, brethren of the First Born for the dead (Christ), and empowered by the Holy Spirit. God is so good dear ones and He is nothing but good. Well, today is day two for the moving company to pack us up for the move to San Antonio Texas. That will be finished by early Wednesday. We are excited and eager for the move however the things to do and coordinate at times seems daunting. We know within ourselves this is right; it is most of all the will of God. People ask what we will be doing there. Of course, we will be doing life much like here. We will be getting established in a local Church. This Ministry will continue as is (I think) for the time being. What I believe the Lord has brought to mind several times in this process is Abram and when He (God) told Abram to leave where he was and go to Canaan. Let’s again look at that for a moment, we all may receive some light. Listen carefully to the following, hopefully familiar, Scripture.
Genesis 12:1-3 (KJV)
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
We generally talk about this passage with regard to blessing, praying for Israel, and the coming Messiah. However, I want to draw your attention to the phrase “into a land that I will shew thee” in verse one. It wasn’t that Abram didn’t know anything about Canaan but he just didn’t know the details of going there. However, God did tell Abram that he would become widely known there, and be a blessing. Likewise, we don’t know the details of why we are moving to San Antonio Texas (moving back for me, first time for Donna) but we know it is right and there He will bless us and we will be a blessing. Listen to a portion of a Prophetic Word I (we) received recently in San Antonio, Texas.
“I said son it’s time to move. It’s time to make that decision now and the Lord says I am going to speed some stuff up, not that you’re slow, just there are some things He wants to move and He says you’ve been faithful, you’ve used wisdom, you’ve set things in order rightly but the Lord says I’m going to make it just a little uncomfortable for you and He says when I make it a little uncomfortable, and He says when I make it a little uncomfortable, you’re about to grow and things are about to change in a big way. It’s going to be good for you, it’ll be good for those around you.”
God is no respecter of persons. Do you see some similarity between what God said to Abram and He said to us? Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in Isaiah.
Isaiah 1:5-7 (KJV)
5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
Yesterday I left off with the question; How would the Lord describe His body today? Each of us can honesty before the Lord answer this question concerning ourselves, listen for and hear (see) the answer. Then move quickly to repentance and immediately make the necessary corrections in our thoughts, words, and ways. As we look around, we see depravity on every side, abominations before the Lord. Could the following verse describe this day?
Genesis 6:5 (KJV)
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Of course, we can see this verse from Genesis all about. Let me return to the title of this teaching, is our country desolate (wild, barren, depressing, gloomy, unwelcoming, and emptiness)? Our land, our cities, have become barren, unwelcoming, and empty of the things of God, the ways of God. This word desolate is a feminine singular noun meaning desolation, and waste according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – Old Testament. It comes from a root word meaning ruined. Remember that when we look at the gender and find it to be feminine it will reproduce after its own kind. The only ones who can turn this waste and ruin around are the sons of God operating in their full authority and Power.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
