FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER
DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS – PART TWO

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to From the Prophets Chamber. This week I will be teaching from Deuteronomy chapter twenty-eight. As you know I reference this chapter often when referring to the blessings of God and the curse which is of ourselves. Do not be confused, we trigger the blessing in obedience to God and we trigger the curse in obedience to Satan. God is not going about blessing some and cursing others due to some unfathomable plan that brings glory to Him and somehow works for our good. Before I go further, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture is of me teaching in Pennington, Texas. Now, let’s take a look at the opening verses of our Bible text.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
What God is about to talk about “shall come to pass” not sometimes, perhaps, or you just never know. The Lord then lays out three requirements for the following words, blessings, to come to pass. One is we must listen diligently. As I discussed last week this is beyond just hearing the physical sound waves and perhaps cataloging the information in our minds. It has to do with making the Words of God, really His thoughts, our thoughts and our words leading to Godly actions. Hear what the Lord told Joshua and what He is telling everyone of His children today.
Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
What does the Word of God do for us when we make it our own? When His Book it is our predominate thought and doing the Word is our way, WE MAKE OUR WAY PROSPEROUS. Is this what religion has taught us? Prosperity and success are almost like curse words in some Christian circles. I wonder if the Lord thinks this way?
Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)
22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
The blessing is the supernatural Power of God flowing in obedience to the Word making one rich or empowering them to become rich, not just spiritually but physically in this life. Perhaps we will be more receptive to receive this Truth from Jesus.
Mark 10:29-30 (KJV)
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Whoa, don’t hear this much from the preachers teaching lack or just enough here and mansions there. In our prosperity we have greater influence in furthering the Kingdom of God. Now, lets look back at our Deuteronomy text.
Deuteronomy 28:1 (KJV)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
We must listen with ears to hear, to understand, and implement. Next, it says we are “to observe” the voice of the Lord our God. This word, observe, is far more than to simply look at. Here is the definition of this word from the Hebrew word shāmar meaning to hedge about, guard, to protect, attend to, be circumspect, take heed, keep, mark, look narrowly, observe, preserve, regard, reserve, save, wait (for), and to watch (-man) according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Thus far we have learned that we are to listen to understand and implement, and we are guard and protect this knowledge.
Lord willing, we will move forward next Saturday.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. (Bold added)
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Bold added)
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
PRAYERS AND QUESTIONS – please contact us and we will respond. Our goal is to build a solid foundation upon which children of God can become sons of God, stand and do exploits in Jesus’ name.
PARTNERSHIP AND GIVING – Those of you who are not Partners of this Ministry and you find this ministry to be of value to you and perhaps others with whom you share it, we ask you to consider becoming Partners.
