Greetings dear and precious saints of God, my brothers and sister in Christ Jesus. Welcome back to this engaging, empowering, and revelatory study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment to share this Bible teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The Lord is so good. The featured picture for today’s teaching is of Donna and me as usual on Thursdays. This picture was taken at a wonderful family dinner in Portland Maine. This was Becky’s Diner on Commercial Street in the Old Port area, the food was good, the fellowship was better.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:21-25 (KJV)
21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
As we move into verse twenty-two, we again find the LORD telling His people (not the world, no different today) to look to Him. Salvation has only one source and that is the Lord. Since the Cross, victory in Hell, the Resurrection, and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost Jesus is the way, the only way. In reality He has always been the way, the only way. Again, the LORD tells them I am God there is no one else, period. Moving forward, verse twenty-three sure is familiar.
Romans 14:10-13 (KJV)
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
Isn’t it interesting and sobering how this quote from Isaiah is intermixed with the act of judging. Saint and sinner alike to point our that we are not to judge. However, that is not entirely true. We are told to judge all things.
1 Corinthians 2:15 (KJV)
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
The problem, the sin, is when we pronounce a consequence concerning the thing judged. That is above our paygrade so to speak. Verse ten of the Romans text is making the point that we will all stand before Christ who will pronounce the consequence of all things each of us have done. Every knee will bow before Jesus and every tongue will confess before Jesus for ourselves. Let us determine not to be a stumbling block for our brother by our judging. Let us stop passing judgment.
Romans 14:13 (NIV)
13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way.
This 45th chapter ends with the following words, promise to the Jewish peoples of their salvation.
Isaiah 45:25 (NIV)
25 But in the LORD all the descendants of Israel will be found righteous and will exult.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
