NO SHAME

Greeting dear and precious saints as well as those who are not yet saints. If you don’t know Jesus, make Him Lord and Savior today, right this very moment.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (Bold added)
Welcome to all who are continuing with this Bible Study or who are joining perhaps for the first time. The featured picture for today is of Donna and me at Faith Chapel in Pennington Texas. A lovely group of people. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. It is so encouraging to see people value this work, the Ministry enough to share.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud. Yes, out loud, you know why. If you don’t know why, ask.
Isaiah 54:3-5 (KJV)
3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Yesterday I left off with talking about the command to fear not and the basis for fear getting a foothold in our life, even running our life. Most of the time when things contrary to God, the Word of God, occur the answer is either sin or unbelief which is sin. The question comes up often as to why bad things happen to good people. The answer is always the same, unrepented sin, unbelief. I know it is popular and perhaps soothing (falsely) to the soul to implore one of the many false theologies that shift everything to God. Sounds like the Garden of Eden. Okay back to the Book of Luke.
Luke 13:1-5 (KJV)
1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Not believing God either before or after salvation opens the door wide to the curse. I have presented this passage many times, lets receive it and not be one upon which the curse had access. Now, back to verse four. Immediately following the command not to fear comes a list of reasons not to fear, this applies to us as well. God confirms to them, to us, we will not be ashamed. In other words, if we stand firmly on His promises resisting and casting down all fear, we will have the promise. He goes on to say, don’t be confused, the promise is certain. We must do our part which is primarily to believe and doubt not. The Lord through His Prophet repeats, you shall not be put to shame, don’t let the enemy, or any other people confuse you. Unsaved people for the most part just don’t believe the Word of God and God’s people want to give Him an out and themselves because they don’t really believe it either.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. We love you; the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about it.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
PARTNERSHIP – Those of you who are not Partners of this Ministry and you find this ministry to be of value to you and perhaps others with whom you share it, we ask you to consider becoming Partners.
