FEAR NOT
Video Link: https://youtu.be/UcSIES1MFTw
Greeting dear and precious saints as well as those who are not yet saints. If you don’t know Jesus, make Him Lord and Savior today, right this very moment.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (Bold added)
Welcome to all who are continuing with this Bible Study or who are joining perhaps for the first time. I took the featured picture for today a year or two ago at the boat landing in Oakland Maine.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud. Yes, out loud, you know why. If you don’t know why, ask.
Isaiah 54:3-5 (KJV)
3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
How often have we heard the command to “fear not”? Have we taken it to heart? Are we of the opinion that we can’t help it? Fear not always comes as a command, not a give it a try deal. Verse four of our primary text gives us and them a list of reasons that fear is to be resisted and cast down. Let’s take a moment and look at the reason for fear. The bottom line is that we do not believe, we doubt, the love of God. Godly love, the highest love, is not an emotional, cuddly, tickle up your spine experience it is obeying the Scripture, selfless lifestyle, and living Blood Covenant. We don’t think our Heavenly Father is going to do what He said. Perhaps we have fallen short in our love walk and think He is the same way.
1 John 4:16-18 (KJV)
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Fear, which is an evil spirit, comes to us all. He is like a salesman at the door, we chose what to do. Do we let him in by thinking on the evil being sold, do we talk about it to every Tom, Dick, and Harry, or do we answer the fear with the Word of God for that situation?
2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember the Lord is good, He is for you, in Him you are invincible unless you chose otherwise, and He cannot lie.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
