THE WORD GOES FORTH

Greetings dear followers of The Three Minute Word and partners with our Ministry. Welcome back to this study of the wonderful Prophetic and instructive Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. You taking the time to share and valuing these teachings enough to share is encouraging to us and impacts the Kingdom of God.
The featured picture today is a reminder to each of us to pray for the Seven Mountains of our culture. Each of us, yes, you and me, are assigned to one or more of these mountains. You and I are specifically equipped by God to function in our assigned mountains with excellence influencing that part of our culture for righteousness.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for today continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 55:10-13 (KJV)
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Last week we left off talking at some length and in some depth about verses ten and eleven. First the Lord gave an environmental (agricultural) example of how rain, physical rain brings forth a natural harvest in the earth. Then He adds, in the same way my Words (spiritual water) go into the heart (ground or earth) and bring forth a harvest. Who determines if the Word of God prospers? Many may have exclaimed “God”! If that were true it would violate the Law of Freewill given to mankind from the beginning. You and I are responsible for the result of the Word sown into our hearts. The vivid example of this spoken by the mouth of the Savior Himself is the Parable of the Sower. You will remember there were four groups of people.
Matthew 13:18-19 (KJV)
18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
This group heard the Word, the Truth, they did not understand, but neither did they make any effort to understand and believe.
Matthew 13:20-21 (KJV)
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
This second group received the Word but has not taken time to study, meditate on the Word received so when pressure comes against the Word, they let it go. This group did not develop confidence (faith) in the Word, it was only information.
Matthew 13:22 (KJV)
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
This third group heard the Word, received it but the distractions of this natural life choked out the Word and it was unfruitful. Let me now remind us all of a very unpopular Truth. If the Word is not producing in our lives, we are in these first three groups. We are living a natural life with religious flares but not the supernatural life the Lord intended from the beginning.
Matthew 13:23 (KJV)
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
In this fourth group the Lord calls their hearts “good ground” but notice the results are not the same. Some brought forth a hundred-fold, some sixty, and some thirty. Perhaps more about this tomorrow.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember the Lord is good, nothing but good and He cannot lie.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
