THE HEATHEN RAGE

I think we are all well aware that there appears to be a speeding up of events especially since the election of Donald Trump as President of these United States. As crazy as it sounded before his election and still sounds he and his administration are God’s wrecking ball to expose and bring down unrighteousness in America. The foundations of this nation are being reestablished but the Lord says even deeper and more secure. We as a nation will be that light on a hill, and we as individuals in our own God given assignments will be lights upon a hill drawing all men to that light which is Jesus. This is all happening on the prayers (intercessions and decrees) of the righteous. The righteous are those in right standing with God, they have brought the case, they were heard, and are even now being continuously being heard, and the Holy Spirit is loosed in these United States to convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment. A bright light has been loosed and is illuminating the righteous and the unrighteous alike. Wickedness like rats at the dump will always scurry away from the light in terror.
Even in the Church the traditions of men which are powerless, and the doctrine of devils which are also powerless are being illuminated and are crumbling and fading away. These traditions and doctrines only invite stealing, killing, and destroying among the people. The people of God are now hungering after and demanding the Word of God for in it is the power of God. This power must be revealed not only in and to the Church but the world. Today as in centuries past the name of Jesus will invoke either love or hate (vitriol and rage). When a Christian does not celebrate the murder of the unborn or the disgusting practices of the homosexual the heathen rage. When we object to the tearing down of our Covenant nation in various ways like the recent kneeling during the national Anthem, the heathen rage. When our God given right to worship and follow Scripture like the case of the baker which is now before the Supreme Court is trampled upon and we object the heathen rage. When we exercise our God given right, what our Constitution calls unalienable rights, to free speech or self-defense the heathen rage. They say we can speak freely except Jesus better not be in there anywhere. The heathen rage against, God, Jesus, and His anointed ones.
Let’s look at a Psalm of David that could have been written today.
Psalm 2:1-12 (KJV)
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Can you see today in this Psalm? What about when President Trump announced what everyone knows and is openly evident which is that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. This has been true for 3000 years. Did the heathen rage? Did the kings, the rulers of the earth rage? The heathen rage for they do not want to submit to any authority especially the Son. Right from the Garden of Eden we see that all prosperity, health, and safety are in the bounds that God sets not that we ourselves set. The LORD laughs at this raging of the heathen but I suspect He also cries knowing their outcomes without repentance. The heathen is a gift of God to the Son (Jesus). Many will wisely choose the Kingdom of God and Heaven, but many will instead choose to remain in darkness and spend eternity in Hell.
Part of our mandate, the Church, each of us individually, is to ask the Father for the heathen (that they come to repentance). As this Psalm comes into verses ten, eleven, and twelve I believe we can see ourselves, the Church, and the LORD’s instruction to us. Of course, it can also be interpreted as referring to the kings, the secular rulers, in the earth as they come to recognize the King of kings. However, the true rulers of the earth are the Church. Ever wonder why you have not heard that before? The LORD is saying for us the kings of the earth to govern in the wisdom of God. The word “judges” in the tenth verse can also be translated as govern although we are to judge all things (matters not people).
You and I sweet brother and sister are the kings (rulers), and the priests (intercessors) in the earth for all peoples so let’s step fully into our responsibilities.
