Greetings and welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries, a teaching Ministry. A place to find real solutions to real problems. Less than a month ago, as my wife was driving home from a sewing class a deer ran in front of her. She was not hurt but the car was totaled. As we get ready to delve into this further let me assert that in the Hebrew language and thought all things happen for a reason. It seems that the following passages clearly delineate there are no random, just happen occurrences.
Deuteronomy 28:15 (KJV)
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
The blessing is assured when we do His commandments and statutes, and the curse comes when we don’t. It really is pretty simple.
Isaiah 1:19-20 (KJV)
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Did you notice in the Isaiah text that obedience by itself does not get the job done, it must be with a willing heart. The course of our life is determined by our thoughts, our words, and our actions. The preceding verses make it clear that good or bad things occur due to obedience to the Word of God or not.
There are no random unintentional events. A word in Hebrew translated as accident in English means occurrence or happening. The word “accident or accidental” does not occur in the King James Bible. Many would just say that this collision with the deer just happened, these things happen, it was an accident pure and simple. But is that true? The question I believe the Lord brought up in my thinking was this: “Who gave that deer permission to be on the road”?
People of years past had the knowledge that things don’t just happen, but that everything happens for a reason. Each of us are responsible for the events of our lives. A part of our salvation package is protection. That is what the 91st Psalm is all about. But that protection is dependent upon us.
Psalm 91:9-11 (KJV)
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Jesus spoke about why bad things happen.
Luke 13:1-5 (KJV)
1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
What about the following account?
1 Kings 13:23-24 (KJV)
23 And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back.
24 And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.
Was this just one of those things? Wrong place at the wrong time? No, this man of God violated light, the Word of instruction the Lord had given him.
1 Kings 13:17-19 (KJV)
17 For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.
18 He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
19 So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.
Yes, the devil or people for their own purposes will get you off track. The Lord had clearly told the man of God to go home a different way and eat no bread and drink no water in that place. He violate the Word of the Lord and was killed by a lion. We are thankful that Donna was protected in this instance, but the thief did steal and destroy. As each of us sought the Lord in prayer, the answer was given as to where light (revealed Word of God) had been violated, and repentance has again closed the door to the thief.
TAKE HOME:
- There is no such thing as an accident. So called accidents are different from things wearing out or things we cause by negligence.
- We and we alone open the door to the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy.
- Are you obeying the laws, commandments, of the Kingdom with a willing heart without fail or are you picking and choosing and grumbling about things including submission to those over you in the natural and the spiritual.
I trust that this Special Edition has been instructive. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
