TIME FRAME SIX
THE CATCHING AWAY TO THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
Greetings my dear brothers and sisters in the family of God, what a privileged people we are in Christ Jesus. The love of God is beyond human reason or imagination but it is not beyond us in Christ Jesus who by faith receive and access the mind of Christ. As I have mentioned many times in this study, not all that is contained in these teachings can be backed by a specific verse or passage that says the exact same thing except in King James. However, I do not believe I have brought anything forward into our sanctified imaginations that is outside the character of our God or what He has done before or is prophesied to do soon. Our God changes not which is a characteristic that is most reassuring. We look for that in the people around about us and only rarely find it but ladies and gentlemen it is possible for us. We are in the image and likeness of God, we have the fruits of the spirit to be developed, we have His very own spiritual DNA. Wow, can anyone say amen when the shock wears off.
Some of you likely think I say the most outlandish things. Let me tell you where I got that from, I got it from my Heavenly Father. Can anyone imagine a more outlandish statement then when it was announced in the counsels of Heaven that the second person of God (The Word) would give Himself a ransom for mankind. Can you imagine? No matter your image of Heaven, can you imagine leaving there to come into this cursed mess, be rejected, tortured, and crucified to pay a debt you did not even owe? Oh, what a Savior! Sing the song, rejoice, and be glad dear ones! Now, I am going to see if I can get somewhere close to on track.
As you will recall this study of “Life in Heaven” which sends our minds well beyond the worn-out images of most Church services into a wonder of the far reaches of the imagination of God. Now, I don’t want to hear that deep reverential voice popping up and saying “well brother Wood, eye has not seen, nor has ear heard, the good things God has prepared”. Natural man doesn’t have a chance of knowing them but we are supernatural men, we are one with God, we have the mind of Christ. We have the very same access to the mind of God that the Anointing has, that Jesus had in His earthly ministry! Just where do you suppose the limits of that might be? We must believe and let the Lord take us into the far reaches of His goodness! No, I have not lost it, I finally have found it, and it is wonderful. I am now going to give you a little break to reload the fire extinguishers and buckets of water. We are now in the sixth time-frame of the eight time-frames into which the Lord instructed me to divide this study. I always find the numerology of Scripture, of God, to be very fascinating and very reassuring. The eighth time-frame is “Eternity Future” and eight is the number of new beginnings. Wow, what a new beginning!
- Eternity before Genesis 1:1
- Genesis 1:1 to 1:2 (may have been billions of years)
- Genesis 1:3 to Genesis 3:6 the Day of Sin and Death
- Genesis 3:6 to Jesus putting His Blood on the Mercy Seat
- Resurrection to the Rapture
- Rapture or Catching Away to the Second Coming
- One Thousand Year Reign
- Eternity Future
Last Sunday I left off talking about the great battle which takes place with the Second Coming of Christ between the armies of Heaven (angels), the saints of God (you and me) and the natural armies of earth and the spiritual armies of Satan, called Armageddon. Talk about a mismatch!
Revelation 16:16 (KJV)
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
This is a time of great judgment of the nations in the earth and of Israel. Notice this final battle of Armageddon, in the valley of Megiddo, is in Israel as Satan makes one last attempt at genocide of the Jewish people. This is a terrible time for Israel and for the whole earth. According to Zechariah only one-third of the population of Israel will survive this holocaust brought by the Anti-Christ at the direction of Satan, that old dragon. There are approximately six million Jews in Israel so this means that four million will be butchered in this final judgment of Israel.
Zechariah 13:8-9 (KJV)
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
At this great battle of Armageddon, the Jewish people will look upon Jesus and repent. They will mourn and God according to His covenant with them will take away all of their sin. Jesus will set up His Throne in Jerusalem for what is called the Millennial Reign of Christ. King David of old will actually sit on the Throne in Jerusalem as the King of Israel and Jesus upon His Throne as King of His people and the people of the whole earth. The Throne of Jesus is likely to be in the new administration building constructed in the valley created by the splitting of the Mount of Olives. Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Sunday.
Until our next publication, confess the following passage and walk before Whom we have to do with great rejoicing and thanksgiving. This physical body is our humiliation but soon it will be no more for the glory of God and our eternal benefit.
