SALVATION AND PEACE ARE NEAR SYNONYMOUS TERMS IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and our study of our Salvation Package. Biblical salvation is much more than a change of eternal destination from Hell to Heaven. It is a whole lot of wonderful things now on the earth, not a religious brand of worldly misery. Of course, what follows our time here is beyond our current language capacity. Up to this point I have shown from Scripture many things that we have access to, that are already ours, from the instant of salvation. Why are we not as persuaded of those as we are our citizenship in Heaven? Bottom line, it is not taught. If it were the body of Christ would be full of wealthy and healthy people and people would be knocking the doors down. Instead, what they see is a religious brand of what they already have.
The longer I study Scripture the more I see that the differences between the misnamed Old and New Testaments is not as great as we are told. Now, do not misunderstand, yes, we needed someone to deal with the sin problem giving a path to full restitution of all things. That cannot be overstated. Those who lived for God, followed His ways (commands) before the Cross had peace, prosperity, quietness, even Gods’ provision (rest). They had healing, in fact the majority of healing Scriptures used today are written in the 39 Books before the advent of Jesus. When they died, they went to the Bosom of Abraham, which although not Heaven was way better than Hell. They awaited there for the coming Messiah Who would quicken their dead spirits opening the way to Heaven. They were then joined to Him and become one with the Father in Christ Jesus. I am not downplaying the salvation available to all since the Resurrection of Christ Jesus; I am simply pointing out that God has always had a way to take care of those whose hearts were His.
Now back to The Salvation Package. I trust that all of us are seeing more clearly that salvation is far more than rescue from Hell. Let’s return to looking at the definition of “peace” in this passage. The Greek is transliterated to English as eirēnē meaning (1) to join, (2) peace, (3) prosperity, (4) be one, (5) quietness, (6) rest, and (7) set at one again according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Tell me that doesn’t sound like salvation. We are joined with Jesus in purpose which is making the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, doing things the Kingdom way, our primary aim. Since Jesus took the sin problem out of the way we are at peace, reconciled, with the Father, back in the family by our choice. Prosperity of every kind is ours for the taking. Failing to prosper is leaving a vital tool on the table for our work, our doing, in the Kingdom of God. We will have to give an account at the Judgment Seat of Christ just like the parables of the Pounds and Talents.
Picking up with the remaining reality or the peace we have at salvation. We are one again meaning that we are spirit, soul, and body. We are a unified whole person. Before salvation our spirit man was dead and unable to commune with God but now is alive to God and can inform our minds. Let’s look at the definition of “peace” in this passage. What about quietness? We can have quietness on every side for we now by knowledge and faith in that knowledge have full access to the whole armor of God. We also at salvation have the capacity to live in the seventh day, the full provision of God. Finally, just as Adam and Eve were one with God so has the privilege been again restored to us to be set as one with God. Everyone who is born from above has the Holy Spirit within Who communes with our spirit and can inform us of things it is not possible to know otherwise. This of course takes a giant step up with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
TAKE HOME:
- Salvation and peace are near synonymous terms in the Kingdom of God. In fact, Jesus spoke peace to the disciples of the same day as His resurrection and breathed on them saying receive the Holy Ghost (John 20:19-23). Boom, the Church was born!
- At salvation we are joined with God in every way, we have peace with the Father, prosperity is ours, we are one spirit, soul, and body, we have quietness through knowledge in the use of the full armor of God, we have access individually to the provision of God, and we are again set at one with Him.
- God has always made provision for His people, those who worship Him, give Him their whole hearts.
Lord willing, I will resume right here next week. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
