OUR SALVATION PACKAGE IS NOT BONDAGE BUT FREEDOM

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and our study of our Salvation Package. Biblical salvation is much more than a change of eternal destination from Hell to Heaven. It is a whole lot of wonderful things now on the earth, not a religious brand of worldly misery. Of course, what follows here is beyond our current language capacity. Up to this point I have shown from Scripture many things that we have access to, that are already ours, from the instant of salvation. Why are we not as persuaded of those as we are our citizenship in Heaven? Bottom line, it is not taught. If it were the body of Christ would be full of wealthy and healthy people and people would be knocking the doors down. Instead, what they see is a religious brand of what they already have. Let’s revisit Isaiah chapter sixty-one as we move on.
Isaiah 61:1-2 (KJV)
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Jesus is preaching the Salvation Package message. Everything in the Salvation Package is wonderful, it is good and is clean. Jesus whole Ministry was to teach and demonstrate how the Kingdom of God worked. The word “meek” in our Isaiah sixty-one text can mean humble, one walking in humility, and/or one who is poor (financially). If you research this word further you find that it is also those who came to hear, understand, and do. To be brokenhearted is not just to be sad but to have a brokenness of the thought life, a change of circumstances, a place of hopelessness. It is easy to see how this can bring a person to multiple mental disorders. Remember, all physically manifest things have spiritual roots. There is even a heart condition that can develop from this called Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy. Jesus is the path to freedom for those held captive in the kingdom of darkness. Unfortunately, most of the people on the planet are captive to Satan. That is a choice, no one leaves this planet with the excuse they did not know. Scripture says all are without excuse (Romans 1:20). They are deceived to love the darkness rejecting the light (John 3:19).
Satan has many in bondage in and out of the body of Christ. These bondages are many but include chemical addictions but can also be addiction or bondage to anger. Many in the Church male and female are addicted or in bondage to pornography. One site I looked at reported that 68% of Church attending men visited pornographic websites routinely, 50% of pastors, and 78% of men in the 18-24 age bracket. You may be thinking, “not my church”, well perhaps not. What has you bound, what is your recurring sin you just don’t seem to be able to break free from. In and of yourself you cannot but with Jesus you can be free.
Finally, what about “the day of vengeance of our God”? This has to do with bringing justice to individuals and all who worship God. That was accomplished by taking sinful flesh out of the way so the Holy Spirit could enter and resurrect (quicken) the dead (to God) spirit man. We are dead to sin and alive to God (Romans 6:11).
TAKE HOME:
- Our Salvation Package is not bondage but freedom. God created all and He knows what works and what doesn’t work for His creation. Every prohibition is for our safety and to keep us on the path of a prosperous and healthy life.
- Jesus came that we know it is the will of God to be wealthy not poor, we are not to be broken vessels in any way, He has granted the captive freedom, the bound release, and bring justice to those who have suffered injustice.
- We don’t just have rescue from Hell, escape from the wrath to come to those who chose to reject Christ, but we have eternal life, Heaven and so much more.
