Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and our study of our Salvation Package. Biblical salvation is much more than a change of eternal destination from Hell to Heaven. It is a whole lot of wonderful things now on the earth, not a religious brand of worldly misery. Of course, what follows here is beyond our current language capacity. Up to this point I have shown from Scripture many things that we have access to, that are already ours, from the instant of salvation. Why are we not as persuaded of those as we are our citizenship in Heaven? Bottom line, it is not taught. If it were the body of Christ would be full of wealthy and healthy people and people would be knocking the doors down. Instead, what they see is a religious brand of what they already have.
Today I am going to move forward in our study of The Salvation Package to compare salvation and Bible peace. They have very similar meanings and appear to a great extent to be synonymous. Let’s look at the very first people to be born again after Jesus rose from the dead, the very day of His Resurrection.
John 20:19-22 (KJV)
19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
This receiving of “the Holy Ghost” is not the baptism of the Holy Spirit but when we receive Him at salvation. Notice Jesus did not say anything about being born again, although they were, His focus was on peace. Brother and sister everyone wants peace. Let’s look at the definition of “peace” in this passage. The Greek is transliterated to English as eirēnē meaning (1) to join, (2) peace, (3) prosperity, (4) be one, (5) quietness, (6) rest, and (7) set at one again according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Tell me that doesn’t sound like salvation. Before the Cross, the victory in Hell, and the Resurrection one could not be joined with God, there was enmity, but that barrier was destroyed by the Blood of Jesus. They and we could not be one with God but now we in Christ, Christ in the Father, the Father in Him. Rejoice in this beautiful passage. This is just before the Cross.
John 14:19-21 (KJV)
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Let’s move forward and talk about prosperity. The devil has convinced the Church along with centuries of Christian or at least Religious Philosophers have convinced the Church it is righteous and Godly to be poor, or just enough, certainly no overflow. Prosperity has always been available to those who would worship the Lord but now it is a part of The Salvation Package. Is it automatic, no, but it is ours for the taking, the asking. Our focus is not the prosperity but the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Prosperity opens up opportunities to further the Kingdom in ways a poor person cannot. Like it or not money is the basis of transactions on the earth. It is money that builds buildings, buys modes of transportation, provides for the wants and necessities of life, and puts food on the table.
TAKE HOME:
- Salvation is peace, peace that comes from God not the world. Remember, peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and a fruit we also are capable of producing.
- The sacrifice, the victory, the Resurrection of Christ again allows us to join with Him, with the Father, to have the Holy Spirit within.
- Prosperity of every type is possible and an expectation for every child of God.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
