THE WORD OF GOD GIVES A STRONG SPIRIT AND A HEALTHY BODY

Greetings and welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and our ongoing study of The Salvation Package. Frequently it is taught that we must be saved to go to Heaven and not Hell which is true. But salvation is far more than rescue from the wrath to come and already being experienced by those in Hell. When we declare with our mouth Jesus as Lord and Savior and believe in our hearts (mind) that God the Father raised Him from the dead we are saved (Romans 10:9-10). Our dead spirit man is made alive, and able to commune with God the Holy Spirit who takes up residence with us in the earthly tabernacle.
We will continue to move forward in our exploration of The Salvation Package. Since we are in part nineteen it should be clear that salvation is much more than escape from Hell. Today let’s discuss the Word of God. The Word of God is a huge part of The Salvation Package. The Word of God is the foundational essential nutrient of our life spirit, soul, and body. Just as the Word of God that we receive, believe, and do builds us up in every way so do other words tear us down in every way. We make a choice that is what renewing the mind is all about.
Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Our bodies house our spirit man (spirit and soul) but it is also what allows us to remain in the earth and gives us dominion in the earth. It is our responsibility as sons of God, citizens of the Kingdom of God us keep and use our bodies for His glory. We are also to renew our minds with His Word to know His will for us. This Word builds, sustains, is medicine to our flesh (physical body) and strengthens our spirit man.
Proverbs 4:20-23 (KJV)
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Dear ones we cannot give too much attention to the Word of God. In verse twenty-two we see that the Word of God is not only eternal life (remember the words of Peter) but brings health to our physical body. The caveat is that we must take good control of our heart, our thought life. Our thought life determines the direction of our life. Is the direction of our life that of the Word or that of the world? What is your light, the Word, or the world?
Matthew 6:21-23 (KJV)
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
A body (physical body) full of light, the revealed Word of God, is healthy and strengthened. A body full of darkness which is the ways of the world even the traditions of men and doctrines of demons taught in Church will be unhealthy have accelerated aging. Stay in the light!
Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
TAKE HOME:
- The Word of God is a central and essential part of The Salvation package. It is the Word that we receive, believe and practice. The Word that is light (revelation) is strength.
- The Word of God nourishes, strengthens our spirit man and brings health to our physical bodies. Our spirit man is the seat of the nine fruits of the spirit.
- Choose to renew your mind to the Word of God strengthening your spirit man and bringing health to the flesh. Walk as Jesus walked, as Adam walked.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
