INDEPENDENCE DAY

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries. Welcome back to the third installment of this special teaching series commemorating our spiritual independence from darkness and our independence as a nation. In 2012 I wrote and distributed a booklet to our partners titled “America – A COVENANT NATION”. At that time, this Ministry was registered under the name Eastern Gate Ministries International Inc. Much of this teaching over the next few days will come from that booklet written and distributed in 2012. I suspect many are aware that the United States in on the wrong track and has been for some time. No, the track the USA is on is not the will of God, being some sovereign plan beyond our understanding. We are off track in the deep darkness of deception and rebellion to the will and ways of God, our Father. There is a spark of hope at the present time but let us get and keep our eyes on Jesus and let Him work through whatever willing vessels He may find. I ask again; will America return to righteousness?
Today enjoy, the 4th of July, celebrate our Blood Covenant nation in God honoring ways. And celebrate that you have gained independence and freedom from darkness through the Blood of the Cross. Recognize God as the real founder of this nation. America is a nation established in covenant with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This nation was established for the glory of God and to promote the Christian religion. All religions are welcome, and people are free to peacefully worship another god as they see fit. But America was and is a Christian nation! I will now move into a brief presentation of this reality. Americas founding was in covenant with the only true and living God. The evidence that we were founded a Christian nation and are a Christian nation in blood Covenant with God fills many libraries. We look in disbelief as the leader of Iran says there was no Jewish Holocaust, yet we tolerate the same evil spirits of ignorance and deception to reign right here in America with regard to our Christian heritage.
In 1607 an expedition led by Pastor Robert Hunt arrived in Virginia Beach. There they dedicated our in-utero nation to the glory of God. They said, “We do hereby dedicate this land and ourselves to reach the people within these shores with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up Godly generations after us, and with these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all generations, as long as this earth remains, and may this land, along with England, be Evangelist to the world. May all who see this Cross, remember what we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant and in this most noble work that the Holy Scriptures may be fulfilled.”
Consider the Mayflower Compact which was written on November 11, 1620, as the Pilgrims are set to disembark at Plymouth Rock. The following is an excerpt from this Covenant. “We whose names are underwriten, the loyall subjects of our dread soveraigne Lord King James, by the grace of God, of Great Britaine, Franc, & Ireland king, defender of the faith, &c., having undertaken, for the glorie of God, and advancemente of the
Christian faith,” Note: Original grammar and spelling.
What about the prayer of our first President George Washington immediately following his swearing in. He placed these United States in the jurisdiction of God. “Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow-citizens of the United States at large. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.”
These and many other documents/prayers established us as a Covenant, Blood Covenant nation under God. We placed ourselves under His rule recognizing we were deficient in and of ourselves. The Pilgrims came for religious freedom, to escape tyranny and suppression of Christian religious expression in England. It is clear from the Covenants of 1607 and 1620 as well as President George Washingtons prayer that we are a Covenant nation. A nation in a Blood Covenant between us and God for the purpose of showing the goodness (Glory) of God and to advance the Christian faith. They did not come to advance freedom of religion or to establish religions that are not Christian. Let me point out that neither our Declaration of Independence nor National Constitution nor any State Constitution forbids other religions. The founders could not fathom that the Christian religion would not be found to be so superior to all other
religions that it would be the predominating religion of this nation. I think it is clear that we Christians have dropped the ball. We have refused to allow the Goodness of God to show a clear difference between us, the children of God, and the world’s children. We were deceived into thinking we wanted to be like Babylon rather than transforming Babylon.
TAKE HOME:
- Today enjoy, the 4th of July, celebrate our Blood Covenant nation in God honoring ways. And celebrate that you have gained independence and freedom from darkness through the Blood of the Cross.
- God looked for a man, a people, through which He could again gain legal access back into the earth and give the man He had made in His own image a road of redemption, of freedom, of liberty. Luke 4:18-19 (KJV) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
- Remember the Covenants of 1607 and 1620 as well as the prayer, supplication, of our first President, George Washington.
Lord willing, I will resume right here Monday. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
