THERE IS A STORM COMING BUT IT NEED NOT BE

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries. Welcome back to the second teaching of this special teaching series commemorating our spiritual independence from darkness and our independence as a nation. In 2012 I wrote and distributed a booklet to our partners titled “America – A COVENANT NATION”. At that time, this Ministry was registered under the name Eastern Gate Ministries International Inc. Much of this teaching over the next few days will come from that booklet written and distributed in 2012. I suspect many are aware that the United States in on the wrong track and has been for some time. There is a spark of hope at the present time but let us get and keep our eyes on Jesus and let Him work through whatever willing vessels He may find. I ask again; will America return to righteousness?
In review, the Lord gave me a short but powerful Word for the Church in June 2008. He said, “There is a storm coming but it need not be.” The storm the Lord was speaking of was principally financial but was not isolated to the financial sector. It is principally financial because we, His people, have relied upon and focused upon the Babylonian or world system, and not on Him or the Kingdom of God system. He is shaking what can be shaken and only the firm foundation of His Word, and those who stand upon and focus upon the Word of God will be left standing. We, the people of God, have turned to the arm of flesh and not to the living God who fails not and never can fail unlike human endeavors without God.
Jeremiah 17:5-6 (KJV)
5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his
arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but
shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
Now what about the part, “it did not need to be”? Let me bring two Biblical events into your thinking to explain this. When the angel Gabriel came to Zechariah, a priest, and father to be of John the Baptist, he doubted, so Gabriel shut Zechariah’s mouth saying this is a Word that must be (paraphrase Luke 1:20 AMP). On the other hand, recall when God told Moses that He was going to wipe out the children of Israel and make a great nation of Moses (paraphrase Exodus 32:7-14). The Lord changed His mind and did not wipe them out, so that was a storm that could be averted whereas the event of John the Baptist coming at that precise time was a Word that must be and could not be
changed. The “appointed time” reference referred to the fact that it was time, actually long past time for the Church to repent and arise reclaiming this nation for righteousness.
The Church did not rise in 2008 or 2010, and the nation continued to careen like a car full of drunken people down the road to disaster unaware of the cliff ahead. It will remain the appointed time until God finds His David’s, His Elijah’s and they step out onto the sure foundation of His Word. What about you? Have you been appointed as King David or a Prophet Elijah? Church, do not be dismayed, the sons of God will arise, and they will triumph for the Glory of God. God is actively searching for willing hearts. Why not today? All of the purposes of God will be fulfilled, and the last enemy will be put under Jesus’ feet. This will be done by faithful people, led of the Spirit, speaking the Word of God all for the glory of God. Then in a twinkling of an eye those that know Jesus will be changed and be pulled into the eastern sky by our Savior. This is the “catching away” in the Greek or the “rapture” in Latin. We will then pass before the Judgment Seat of Christ, receiving our rewards and assignments. We will then cast our crowns at Jesus’ feet, and suddenly we will be at the marriage supper of the Lamb, glory to God!
People of God, we are not here by happenstance or by a whim of human desire or design but by the design of our Father, the Almighty God. The Father has given us various talents and gifts, that according to His plan we fulfill our part of this wonderful
and vital end-time show, and what a show it will be. Just as God spoke through Mordecai to Esther, so does the living God speak to you and me today. We are not going to get this job done by what we have done in the past or what we are doing now. Listen to the voice of the Most High; He is doing a new thing (Isaiah 43:18-19) through us, His people.
Esther 4:13-14 (KJV)
13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.
14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
TAKE HOME:
- Storms come to us as individuals, groups, even as a nation, but the damage inflicted is entirely up to us. The enemy devises schemes against all of us, even nations. Do we see the damage as inevitable?
- Have you donned your spiritual armor, do you recognize the wiles of the devils, and are you exercising your authority? Each of us must stand our ground exercising our God delegated authority on our own behalf, that of our family and our nation. People are not our problem; it is the demonic spirits influencing people.
- We are the sons of God, we are not to hold our peace for we are here at this time in this place for a purpose, the purposes of God of the Kingdom of God.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
