Greetings dear saints of God, followers and partners with this Ministry. Today I am continuing our study of The Kingdom of God. This was the major thrust of Jesus’ earthly Ministry and therefore of ours. Really, the whole Bible if you are looking for it is instructing us in Kingdom of God living. Can you imagine there is a better life now or later than the life the Kingdom of God makes available? Yes, I am a prosperity teacher, prosperity in every arena of life, for that is what the Bible teaches. That is not to say that we are not presented with opportunities to fail, and in so doing suffer, but that is our choice, not God’s. Now that I have everyone riled up let’s turn to our anchor/golden text.
Matthew 6:33 (AMP)
33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
So, what is to be first in our lives? His Kingdom and His righteousness or something else? Can you imagine there is a better life now or later than the life the Kingdom of God makes available for this life and that to come? I will now move to our next mention by Jesus of the Kingdom of God.
Luke 4:42-44 (KJV)
42 And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them.
43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
44 And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
If you read what immediately preceded out text, you will find they just had an all-night meeting healing the sick and casting out demons. Let’s take a look at that.
Luke 4:38-41 (KJV)
38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.
40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
This is the Kingdom of God on display, Jesus demonstrating the Kingdom of God and showing us what we are to do when He departs back to Heaven. Jesus is acting in the same authority that was given in Genesis 1:26 and that we have today. Did you know that? Are you, or others in your circle doing this or are you clinging to the traditions of men and doctrines of demons begging God to do it? Notice in Luke 4:43 Jesus says He “must preach the kingdom of God to other cites also”. In the following passage Jesus teaches about the Kingdom of God and demonstrates the Kingdom of God.
Luke 5:3-6 (KJV)
3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
Words, the Word of God, are what created all, Words maintain all, and Words create and bring changes. Jesus spoke the end result, and we are to do the same. Speak to the problem in Jesus name, in faith, in love, as led of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
TAKE HOME:
- Yes, I am a prosperity teacher, prosperity in every arena of life, for that is what the Bible teaches. That is not to say that we are not presented with opportunities to fail, and in so doing suffer, but that is our choice, not God’s.
- what is to be first in our lives? His Kingdom and His righteousness or something else? Can you imagine there is a better life now or later than the life the Kingdom of God makes available for this life and that to come?
- Jesus demonstrated the Kingdom of God showing us what we are to do when He departs back to Heaven (John 14:12). Jesus is acting in the same authority that was given in Genesis 1:26 and that we have today. Did you know that?
