WE ATE AND DRANK IN YOUR PRESENCE

Greetings dear saints and others and welcome to this exciting and instructive study of the Kingdom of God. Doing things the Kingdom of God way brings the Kingdom of God and the will of God into our lives in the earth. Jesus commanded us to pray for the Kingdom of God and the will of God to come into the earth. The more we walk in the ways of God the more our lives will manifest peace and joy. That does not mean we will not be presented with challenges. It does mean that we have an impenetrable defense and do not have to allow them in. Fear breaks down the hedge and the serpent will bite. We keep them outside the hedge. The Kingdom of God is within us in the Holy Spirit, and it is righteousness, peace, and joy.
Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
As I have mentioned dozens of times this is a command, it is doable, it is actionable revelation. We can have the Kingdom of God on the earth, in our lives, to the extent that we do things His way. Not seeing this in our own life or in the lives of people around us does not mean it is not true, it means we and they are not doing it His way. I know this is not really popular, we would rather someone pat our head and tell us we are fine. Let me ask this. Do you want to be prepared for the Judgment Seat of Christ? I will now move forward into our next teaching from the mouth of the Master.
Luke 13:24-29 (ESV)
24 “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
25 When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ‘I do not know where you come from.’
26 Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’
27 But he will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!’
28 In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out.
29 And people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and recline at table in the kingdom of God.
The disciples have just asked Jesus about who will be saved. Let me warn you that this is one of those passages that should cause us all to examine ourselves. There is one door, it is a narrow door, and it is Christ Jesus. There are not many doors leading to the same place and Jesus makes that clear. Now is the day of salvation dear ones. Once you pass from this life if you have not entered the Kingdom of God by Christ Jesus the door is no longer available. Verse twenty-six should give us all pause to reflect. There are those among us right now that look like us, but they are not. In other places these are the tares or the goats. These people went to Church and the social gatherings of the Church but never committed their lives to Jesus. They end up in Hell. This 26th verse reminds me of the following passage.
Luke 5:17-18 (KJV)
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
The man let down to Jesus through the roof is the only one we have a record of that was healed that day. These in our text were present to receive salvation, healing of the spirit, but they did not, perhaps they thought just being their was enough but that is not what Scripture says.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I remember a pastor that used to say, you can sit in the garage all day, but you will never be a car.
TAKE HOME:
- Challenges come but in Christ Jesus they fall harmlessly to the side.
- Being in the Church in the presence of the Anointing is not enough we must receive it as our own whether it be salvation or healing.
- Sitting in the garage does not make you a car.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
