A WELL OF TRUTH
PEACE OF GOD – PART ONE

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome to this new series titled: “A Well of Truth”. Of course, that “Well” is the Word of God. Please take a moment and share this Bible teaching as widely as possible to enrich the lives of others.
I also want to take a moment to invite those of you who are being prompted and led of the Holy Spirit to become partners with this Ministry. A partner not only utilizes the published materials of this Ministry, but prays daily for us and the Ministry plus contributes financially on a regular basis.
The first topic the Lord has led me to talk about is “the peace of God” from the following primary Bible text.
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Starting with verse six, the phrase “be careful for nothing” means don’t worry or more directly don’t walk in fear. The spirit of fear is not of God. Fear is the very or manifested presence of our adversary. Resist fear and instead focus on talking to God. Our text talks about prayer, speaking or having a conversation with God, and making supplication to God which is making known to Him what it is we want. Of course, He already knows what we want but He requires that we be explicit in our talking with Him. Think of it as making inquiry as concerns the will of God and making a request for the manifestation of that will. This is done in the context of thanksgiving. Why? It is already provided; it is already available to us. We must know it is the will of God and then exercise our faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit to bring the thing into our lives. Think of it as a table that is already set. On this table is all the money and other assets inexhaustible, health, family salvation, and anything else you can find in the Word of God. We however must believe God is good and that all of this is for us to accomplish the perfect will of God for our lives. Let’s review the following, I hope familiar Scripture, passage to cement the process of taking what is already promised in the spirit and bring it into the physical.
Mark 11:22-26 (KJV)
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
I have not forgotten that I am on my way to “the peace of God”. Step one in obtaining anything from God is to have faith in God. Sounds easy enough, but is it? Are we walking in the abundance of God in every area of our lives? Most are not. Why not? I suspect there are many factors but, in the end, we do not really have faith in God for the things we need or desire. Perhaps it is ignorance due to poor teaching or a lack of study. At the root of ignorance and poor (wrong) teaching is the deceptions of the devil. Think upon the following key Bible verse.
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Next, we must speak to whatever it is we want to get out of our life or whatever we want to bring into our life. We are not speaking to God or ourselves but to the mountain. Here are two examples of this from the Ministry of Jesus and don’t be saying “but that was Jesus” we are to do everything He did (John 14:12) except be sacrificed.
Mark 4:39 (KJV)
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Luke 4:39 (KJV)
39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.
Likewise, we can rebuke the devourer in our lives. As I close for this week let’s look at Mark 11:23 in the Complete Jewish Bible.
Mark 11:23 (CJB)
23 Yes! I tell you that whoever does not doubt in his heart but trusts that what he says will happen can say to this mountain, ‘Go and throw yourself into the sea!’ and it will be done for him.
We exercise our authority and the Blessing springs into action and moves the mountain. Notice that verses six and seven of the Book of Philippians are joined by the conjunctive “and”. The conjunctive “and” gives the idea that came before and equal status with the idea which follows. The peace of God is essential to believing and not doubting. More next week.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Sunday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
