JESUS WAS OBEDIENT TO THE WORD, HE WAS SELFLESS, AND HONORED BLOOD COVENANT

Greetings dear saints of God and joint heirs with Christ Jesus. I will be continuing to teach from my book “Awake, Arise, and Triumph – Be Love” this week. The main impetus for this book was all the talk about love in Church and among God’s people. In my experience it is rare to hear any definition of what “love” is being discussed. Many times, when people are saying they “love” the Lord or that the Lord loves them they get this angelic look on the face and a faraway look in the eyes. Nothing wrong with that but that is a low-level love (not love at all), and that is not what my book is about nor these teachings. The book and these teachings are about Divine love (agapē/agapaō), the love that God has for us and the love we have for Him, our neighbor, and ourselves. This love resides in our spirit man and is the same love that God has albeit in baby form. This love is a fruit of our spirit. All nine fruit of our spirit are from God and identical to what God is and produces. We have work to do.
Today I will pick up with the topic of God’s Love towards us. One of the preeminent passages of Scripture that demonstrate God’s love toward mankind is the following. In doing this He certainly had to lay aside His best interest and comfort being obedient to Scripture (Genesis 3:15).
John 3:16 (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
When the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14) mankind became a witness to the fulfillment of the Blood Covenant at Calvary. This Covenant began in the garden of Eden. When man sinned, he needed redemption, a Savior. God already had a plan and a Savior (Revelation 13:8).
Genesis 3:15 (KJV)
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
The Living Bible gives perhaps a better or more accurate translation of this verse.
Genesis 3:15 (TLB)
15 From now on you and the woman will be enemies, as will your offspring and hers. You will strike his heel, but he will crush your head.”
The following verse is the culmination of the promise made to mankind and to Satan in Genesis 3:15.
Colossians 2:15 (KJV)
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
The word “spoiled” in this verse means to divest wholly which is to say all that Adam gave to Satan Jesus took it all back. Now back to Genesis 3:15. This is God speaking to the Serpent, Satan (Lucifer fallen). The descendants or the seed of the woman was initially the Jewish people; from which sprang Jesus (The Seed) and from Him the Church. The descendants or the seed of Satan is everyone else, those outside the Blood Covenant, those who did not worship Jehovah before Christ and then chose not to enter Covenant with the Father through Christ. God started the Blood Covenant between Himself and mankind with the atonement which is a temporary covering of sin with the blood of innocent animals. That started in the garden and continued until He had full legal right and opportunity to send Jesus to provide redemption.

21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
With the definition of love, I have provided from Scripture and the Lords’ revelation to me. This love manifests as selflessness, adherence to the Blood Covenant, and obedience to the Word. Meditate on the following passage.
Romans 5:5 (KJV)
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
TAKE HOME:
- The main impetus for this book was all the talk about love in Church and among God’s people. In my experience it is rare to hear any definition of what “love” is being discussed.
- The coming of Jesus into the earth to redeem mankind was obedience to Scripture, was selfless, and honored blood covenant.
- The legal road to redemption started in the Garden on the very day of sin and death.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
