DRY PLACES

Good morning (or whenever you are reading) dear and precious saints of God, friends and partners of this Ministry alike. Before I move forward, I want to extend an invitation to all who are not to become partners with this Ministry. There is more information concerning partnership at the conclusion of this teaching. And don’t forget I have several books I have written and are available on Amazon.

Welcome back to this dynamic teaching of the wonderful and precious Bible Book of Isaiah. Please pause for a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today is of a saint of God (light) in a dark generation. This is to remind us once again to pray for one another. It is a command that we pray for one another not a suggestion or a when you think of it, or for those you like.
Ephesians 6:18 (ESV)
18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
In line with the featured picture let’s not forget Jesus is in Heaven, we are upon the earth, we are the only light the world can see. Listen to Jesus (you are reading out loud, right?)
Matthew 5:13-14 (ESV)
13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the wonderful Bible Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 41:17-20 (GW)
17 “The poor and needy are looking for water, but there is none. Their tongues are parched with thirst. I, the LORD, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not abandon them.
18 I will make rivers flow on bare hilltops. I will make springs flow through valleys. I will turn deserts into lakes. I will turn dry land into springs.
19 I will plant cedar, acacia, myrtle, and wild olive trees in the desert. I will place cedar, fir, and cypress trees together in the wilderness.
20 People will see and know. Together they will consider and understand that the LORD’S power has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.
Our text above is talking of physical conditions the people were enduing at the time. Why? Where there is a paucity of worship there is a drought in the physical which has its origin in the spiritual. True worship is total submission to the Word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit not singing, hollering, and jumping around on Sunday morning. To call that worship is a gross perversion of the word, the idea. Remember all physical manifestations in our lives existed first in the spiritual realm. It is not so called “luck of the draw”, there is no such thing. In the first fourteen verses of Deuteronomy 28 is there any mention of drought with famine from time to time? The blessing and the abundance thereof flow freely in obedience to God and the curse flows abundantly and freely in disobedience to God. Believing a lie, being sincere about it, is still disobedience and is evil in the sight of God our Savior. This people in our text were first “poor and needy” in the spiritual realm which brought them into dry places.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

PRAYERS AND QUESTIONS – please contact us and we will respond. Our goal is to build a solid foundation upon which children of God can become sons of God, stand and do exploits in Jesus’ name.
PARTNERSHIP AND GIVING – Those of you who are not Partners of this Ministry and you find this ministry to be of value to you and perhaps others with whom you share it, we ask you to consider becoming Partners. A Partner is one who prays for the Ministry on a regular basis and contributes to the Ministry on a regular basis (monthly, quarterly, annually). Thank you and may the Lord be pleased with your decision.
