BELIEVERS MINISTRY – PART FOUR
THE UPSIDE-DOWN CHURCH
Greetings dear and precious saints of God, it is 2023, the New Year is upon us. Another Thanksgiving and Christmas is behind us, how did we spend 2022, how will we spend 2023? Do our plans for 2023 primarily concern putting the Kingdom of God and His way of doing things first? Are we going to do the same things in 2023 we did in 2022 that did not produce fruit? In order for change to occur, a change must be made. Albert Einstein said that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Are we willing to change or perhaps you say “I don’t know what to change”. We must study carefully, listen carefully, find the error in thought, word, and deed, discard the lie and renew our minds to the Word of God. Today I am continuing to teaching about our God given but absolute authority in the earth and the Power available to the Spirit filled believer. Before moving forward please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible expanding the reach of this Ministry beyond its current bounds. Now, don’t forget to be reading out loud. I will now continue taking us through the Scriptures to illuminate our ministry, the Ministry of the Believer. Many if not most of these Scriptures should be very familiar but perhaps this time we will see new light.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus is talking and He is talking to all that believe on Him. Do I, do you, believe on Him? If so, He is talking to us. Can we review in our minds the works that are recorded for us which He did or were done through Him? Us doing the works Jesus did in His earthly Ministry is a command from the Head of the Church, from the Father, and also the Holy Spirit who is our Teacher (John 14:21, 26). Would Jesus tell us to do this if we, those who believe on Him, did not have the authority and the Power backing that authority? I hope you know the answer is a resounding NO! So, what’s the problem? Why are we not seeing the works of Jesus and the greater works (transforming and occupying enemy territory) on every side and in our own lives? Much of the answer lies in believing (having faith in) in the wrong thing and not believing the right thing, the Truth. Let’s move to our next Scripture. As you will recall I have been recounting the last Words of Jesus on the Mount of Olives before He ascended to the Right Hand of the Father. By the way we are seated there as well in Him (Ephesians 2:6) meaning we operate in all of His authority. Wow!
Acts 1:6-8 (KJV)
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Jesus is making sure that those disciples and us understand how important it is to receive Power, not just be born again. You will remember from last week how Jesus stressed that they were to go nowhere until they were endued with Power (Luke 24:49), the Power of the Holy Spirit. In the following passage we see the return of the Holy Spirit into the earth in manifestation.
Acts 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
The glory of God is the goodness of God and will manifest for all to see. On this Day of Pentecost, He manifest as a sound of rushing wind and appeared as a flame of fire (that did not burn or consume) and they began to speak with other tongues. Salvation is the key to Heaven and the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the key to the fruitful exercise of authority and Power for the Kingdom of God showing the goodness of God. This is essential for the discharge, the performance of the Believers Ministry.
