BELIEVERS MINISTRY – PART FOURTEEN
THE UPSIDE-DOWN CHURCH
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to “From the Prophets Chamber”. This is the fourteenth week I am teaching on the Believers Ministry, The Upside-Down Church. By the way, the number fourteen (14) is the Bible number for deliverance or salvation. The full meanings of deliverance and salvation are extensive teachings in and of themselves for another time. Please take a moment and share this as widely as possible. Thank you for sharing. As you will recall from prior teachings, we, the Church, have been given by God absolute authority in the earth and the Power to back up the authority. We are the Church, the Ekklesia, which in the Greek government was a body with authority to carry out the will of a higher body. Sound familiar? The Five-Fold Ministers and others have a vital role in the Kingdom of God, however, Gods’ original intent at creation and restored by Calvary and the Resurrection gives equal authority (Kingdom citizen) and Power (baptized in the Holy Spirit) to all believers. We choose how much of it we walk in. We choose by how much we want to be in His image and likeness. Almost no one walks like Jesus because we are unwilling to totally crucify (put to death) our flesh.
Galatians 4:1-2 (NIV)
1 What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate.
2 He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father.
When will we stop being children? All authority and all Power reside in and with the Spirit filled believer. So, why don’t we see it in operation? Unbelief! We must be fully set aside for His purposes, period. Not some of His and some of ours. Look, I am convinced that when we do this it will the most exhilarating and fun time we have ever experienced or imagined. Some of you are reading this with an “I don’t know brother” attitude and others say “I want this!” Listen to the following verse, you are reading out loud, right?
John 3:34 (KJV)
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
Seems like we are speaking too many of our own words, our choice of words, not His. Otherwise, we would see the flow of the Spirit without measure. Wow! What is holding us back? Unbelief, false teaching, deceptions of the devils which brings the unbelief. Go back and review, it is in the WordPress archives. We have been given all authority in the earth (for good or bad). We have absolute power of all the enemy, period. God has endued us with all Power from on high to accomplish all that is in His will. Remember, we must do it exactly His way or we find ourselves in a very limited to no power situation. Just as a child in the natural grows and steps into the exercise of more and more authority and power so it is with us in the Kingdom of God. Think about working for a company, it works the same way. Jesus has given us those who are called as Five-Fold Ministers not to be the superstars of the body of Christ but to train us all (all believers) for the work of the ministry.
John 14:12 (NIV)
12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
We have reviewed how the exercise of this authority and Power is not by begging God but by speaking to the situation, the thing, the mountain as it says in Mark 11:23-24 and we see demonstrated throughout Scripture.
Luke 5:24-25 (NIV)
24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins….” He said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.”
25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God.
Notice, Jesus spoke to the man, not to the Father, with authority.
Acts 3:6-8 (NIV)
6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.
Notice Peter spoke authoritatively to the man. He did not beg the Father or ask all those around to join in or extend hands toward the man. These things have not passed away with the last Apostle or any other foolishness. God changes not. Because we have not wanted to live the life necessary for the authority and Power of God to flow in and through us, theologians have developed lies to make us feel better to explain our lame, disobedient lives. No Church, it is not all up to the “superstars” but each and everyone of us to mature and do the work of the Kingdom, of God as fellow workers with God. Yes, we are working for Father and sons, Jesus is the Head of this enterprise, and the Holy Spirit the facilitator. I for one want to see all of this and more at my hand led of the Holy Spirit to accomplish all the Father wants done through me.
Matthew 11:5 (KJV)
5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
Remember, that the more or greater things consists at least in part of the following.
Isaiah 61:4 (KJV)
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
I think we can all agree things are an utter mess, we have the authority and Power to bring order, restoration, where ever we are received.
