BELIEVERS MINISTRY – PART TWELVE
THE UPSIDE-DOWN CHURCH
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to “From the Prophets Chamber”. This is the twelfth week I am teaching on the Believers Ministry, The Upside-Down Church. As you will recall from prior teachings, we, the Church, have been given of God absolute authority in the earth and the Power to back up the authority. We are the Church, the Ekklesia, which in the Greek government was a body with authority to carry out the will of a higher body. Sound familiar? The Five-Fold Ministers and others have a vital role in the Kingdom of God, however, Gods’ original intent at creation and restored by Calvary and the Resurrection gives equal authority and Power to all believers. We choose how much of it we walk in. Where did you last hear that? The superstar system that was needed for a season following sin until Christ is not Bible, not Bible for our time. Before moving forward please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible expanding the reach of this Ministry beyond its current bounds. Let me remind you to read out loud? You know why? Now, let’s plunge once again into our primary Bible (Scriptural) text.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Do you see that this command includes all believers? The primary measure of our love (agape) for God is obedience. We throw around the term somewhat carelessly that we love the Lord but what is the evidence? Let’s start with this command right here. Last weeks teaching ended with the following passage, let’s look closely at how Jesus handled the situation which is how we are to handle these types of situations.
Mark 4:37-40 (KJV)
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Did Jesus fall to His knees and start begging the Father to stop the storm and save their lives? No! He followed the will of the Father and spoke to the storm. He had authority in the earth as do we and all the Power of Heaven backed up His words just as this Power will back our words. Have you spoken to the storms in your life? You have the authority and God has the Power to eliminate them and bring a great calm. Notice Jesus’ statement to those disciples and to us “Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” Remember the strength or force of faith is love (agape) and Scripture tells us that perfected or mature love will cast out fear. Right in the middle of that is doubt (no faith) or the belief that God will not do as promised. God is always good, nothing but good, and He cannot lie. Now let’s move to another passage and see how Jesus raised the dead. However He did it is how we are to do it as well.
John 11:41-44 (KJV)
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
Notice verse forty-three, “Lazarus, come forth”. No crying out to the Father and begging Him to raise His friend Lazarus from the dead. He had already determined the will of God in prayer before arrival and knew He had jurisdiction (authority), and Heavens Power to back Him up, Lazarus was coming out of the grave, and so he did. His is to be happening to ordinary (who are actually very extraordinary) believers everywhere not just Five-Fold Ministry leaders (superstars). The Church is upside-down.
