FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK THIRTEEN
A STILL SMALL VOICE

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to the Prophets Chamber. Today is being published a little late but we pray that the blessing, the empowerment will not be diminished. This is in the category of a golden nugget from the Throne of Heaven. There is also a wonderful announcement at the end. Please take a moment and share this publication as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry and the Truth. On Wednesday, 28th of April, the Lord brought into my thinking through my spirit man that the loudest voice is not the Lord speaking, it is someone else. That someone else speaking loudly could be our own voices, that of reason, that of the flesh. The other voice may be the demonic voices which are speaking to us constantly. Finally, the voice could be other people speaking out of there reason, emotion, or flesh.
The brought the account of Elijah and the still small voice from the Book of 1 Kings chapter 19. As you may recall in chapter 18 Elijah has challenged the prophets of Baal to call down fire to consume a sacrifice. No fire came for the prophets of Baal, but when Elijah having made the sacrifice harder to burn with stones and water called for fire, the Lord answered big time.
1 Kings 18:36-39 (KJV)
36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.
Following this demonstration of just an infinitesimal faction of the power of God Elijah kills all 450 prophets of Baal. He then calls for the end of the 3 plus years with no rain and the rain came in great abundance. Jezebel then threatens Elijah’s life and he runs into the wilderness and has a pity party. He thinks and says he is the only one serving the Lord and tells the Lord he may as well die.
1 Kings 19:4 (KJV)
4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
1 Kings 19:10 (KJV)
10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
God’s response to I’m the only one!
1 Kings 19:18 (KJV)
18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.
Elijah had let the voice of Jezebel be louder than the voice of the Lord. Now, after an angel ministers to Elijah the Lord educates Elijah and us about the still small voice.
1 Kings 19:11-12 (KJV)
11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
When we are under attack the loudest voices are not the voice of the Lord but the other voices that we must discern among.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Donna and I have discussed moving to San Antonio Texas off and on for quite some time and the desire has been building in our hearts. Now, the time has come, as Scripture says “in the fulness of time”. We are in the process of placing our home on the market and looking at what goes with us and what stays. Our plan is to transition to Texas the week of 14 June 2021.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Saturday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
