GIFTS – PART THIRTEEN
Friday – January 17, 2020, Tevet 20, 5780

What a wonderful God we serve, He is so good, well beyond any comparison with human flesh. There are many peoples in all of our lives we have done life changing things in our lives but nothing compares to our Lord. The gift of salvation and all that follows by our faith causes all else to pale in comparison. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to encourage us and expand the reach of the good news. As we have embarked on this study of the “Gifts” of God I have been led to first teach about the precious trail of blood from the Garden of Eden to the Mercy Seat of Heaven that brought about our salvation, full redemption from sin, from the curse, from the grasp of the devil. We were not just redeemed (just as if sin never occurred) back to the place of Adam (Jesus was the last Adam) but were elevated for we have all that Adam had plus we are in Christ Jesus. We are not subject to the Law of Sin and Death but we are made free by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:2 (KJV)
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Our God is a Covenant God and He made the crucial Blood Covenant with Abraham that would bring the Messiah into the earth to pay the price of sin. A staggering price. The Seed (Jesus) came through Isaac as well as the Jewish or Hebrew peoples. Remember before any blood of animals, man, or God become flesh was shed, God told Abram that all peoples would be blessed in him.
Genesis 12:1-3 (KJV)
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Wow, what a blessing! If you have not received Jesus as Lord and Savior, I would not advise you to wait one more second but to proclaim Him as your Lord and Savior now. There is nothing but upside with accepting Him, whereas there is nothing but downside in rejecting Him. Now, let me get back to the precious trail of blood and the testing of the critical, crucial, Blood Covenant established between God and Abraham (a man). If Abraham passes the test the Messiah is assured. Abraham and by extension Isaac have been told by God to go to the land of Moriah and in that place sacrifice Isaac. Abraham obeys immediately and has now arrived at the site of sacrifice for Isaac and some two thousand years later Christ.
Genesis 22:4-6 (KJV)
4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
Abraham believed God from the moment He spoke about the sacrifice and immediately left for the land of Moriah. They have arrived three days later and I have spoken many times about the prophetic significance of the three days. Abrahams (and Isaac’s) obedience and absolute trust are rewarded when they arrive at the place of sacrifice. Abraham is shown the sacrifice of the Christ some 2000 years into the future and we see this reflected in his speech immediately following. Abraham considered Isaac as dead from the day God spoke to him and now three days later God shows Abraham the Crucifixion of the Lamb and the Resurrection on the third day. Abraham knew of a certainty that God would do the same for him due to the Blood Covenant which has the provision known as the Law of Reciprocity. What one party to the Blood Covenant is willing to do the other must be willing to do as well. If Abraham is willing to sacrifice his son for God than God must be willing to sacrifice His Son for man. If God will raise His Son from the dead than God must raise Abraham’s son from the dead.
Look at verse five above and the confidence (faith, trust) in Abraham’s statement to the two young men (represent the thieves crucified with Christ) who came with them. We are going yonder to worship (submit to God) and we will return. Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
