GIFTS – PART THIRTY-NINE
POT-POURRI AND GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT
Greetings to any and all who come to The Three Minute Word blog, saint and sinner alike and welcome back to the ongoing Bible teaching series on “Gifts”, gifts from God. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand the reach of this ministry and touch and change the lives of as many as will receive, believe, and do.
As many (hopefully all) of you will recall, I initially set about uncovering the firm foundation leading to the New Blood Covenant sealed by the Blood of Jesus. God, all three persons, entered into Covenant with Abram/Abraham and that Covenant was tested. The test required the sacrifice of the son of promise, Isaac. Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice Isaac for God, and Isaac’s willingness to be sacrificed for God active the Law of Reciprocity inherent in Blood Covenant. Now, God the Father and God the Son (also a Son of promise) were obligated to offer a like kind sacrifice for mankind. Oh, what a Savior! That study was joined with the first, the foundational, the vital gift of salvation. We do not have access to any of God’s other gifts without first being saved.

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The last two Friday’s I have talked briefly about the gifts God (Jesus) gave to body for their maturing into effective ministry. These five ministry gifts, offices in the Church (local and total), are not currently functioning. The Pastor has taken a place that is not the Pastor’s to take. There are those with spiritual authority over the Pastor but this is not seen today and is therefore part of the dysfunction in the body which arrests (prevents) the flow of the Power of God. Pastor’s have a vital and necessary role but they are not the start and finish of the Church, only Christ Jesus through His Spirit (Holy Spirit) is in that role. The following are the proper offices in the Church which are to operate in unison.

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
As you will recall God has ordered the authority in the Church.
1 Corinthians 12:28 (KJV)
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Although the office of Pastor does not appear on this list, they play a vital role in being sure these are in the Church and operating freely. They, Pastors, have a vital role in coordinating these supernatural gifts being sure all is done decently and in order.

I am going to shift gears just a tad and perhaps expose the answer to something you may have wondered about in the past. Have you witnessed a person operating in certain gift(s) of the Spirit of God yet don’t seem to have a holy lifestyle/behavior?

29 For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]
First, the Lord does not give and then take away. Second, we are not to pass judgment on our brother/sister. We do not know what revelation (light) they walk in. We are in no position to know their heart and judge the consequences of their actions.
As I near the end of todays teachings let’s start looking at the Scriptures concerning “spiritual gifts”. As you may or may not know there are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit and we will get to each and everyone of them. Of course, we must understand that without the infilling, the baptism of the Holy Spirit as is recorded on the Day of Pentecost in the Book of Acts we cannot operate in these supernatural abilities.

Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
