GOD IS NOT MOCKED – WE REAP WHAT WE SOW

Once again, we will be diving into this really popular topic of offerings (sarcasm) but first let’s review our anchor Scripture.
Nehemiah 12:44 (KJV)
44 And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.
The whole Scripture tells us over and again the harvest of disobedience and the harvest of obedience. Sowing and reaping is a basic fundamental law. Let’s look at two examples from Scripture of sowing and receiving a harvest. Of course, this principle or law, both spiritual and physical, is well known to farmers, all of us if we think about it.
Luke 5:3-7 (KJV)
3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
What resulted in a net breaking boat sinking catch of fish? Obeying the Word of the Lord and putting their boat into Heaven’s jurisdiction. What about the feeding of the five thousand?
Mark 6:41-43 (KJV)
41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42 And they did all eat, and were filled.
43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
The little boy put his two fishes and five loaves into Jesus’ hands who then placed them into Heaven’s jurisdiction and a creative miracle occurred. This didn’t happen because it was Jesus, He was operating as a man. It happened by faith, walking in love, and in the authority, Blessing, and laws put in place by God from the beginning. The seed was the fishes and loaves and in the feeding of the five thousand and Peter giving of the boat for Jesus is use in that case.
TAKE HOME:
- Sowing and reaping is a spiritual and natural law from the beginning.
- We reap what we sow or what we declare in the case of money.
- All is done in faith, doubting not, believing we received when we prayed and sowed.
