GOOD THINGS HAVE COME – PART THREE
Wednesday – January 17, 2018

It is winter, much the same in the Church sadly. It can look quite pretty and majestic but no life, no power. I am not against the Church, I am very much for the Church, but we must awaken and get about our Father’s business. Now, the average Christian spends a vast majority of his time on his own pursuits and a tiny sliver of time on the pursuits of God. Then we wonder why it just does not seem to be working for us. What kingdom am I promoting? When we pursue God and His will with all our hearts God will see to it that the natural things of our lives will be optimal. However, it is obvious that we just do not trust him by how we allocate our time and resources.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Okay, let us once again review our primary text for this very fascinating Bible Study from the Book of Hebrews.
Hebrews 9:11-14 (KJV)
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Jesus is our mediator, our intercessor which are the functions of the High Priest in the Most Holy Place before the Father. He has restored all things, from the day of Calvary and forevermore we are in an eternal jubilee. Quit trying to get to Heaven, get about the Father’s business. We are here from Heaven on assignment and returning home to Heaven will be as natural as one might return to their physical home from the grocery store. I hope you are not wondering what all of this has to do with the text, it has everything, we are on assignment with overwhelming capacity to succeed not a hang on for dear life existence. Jesus is High Priest over all those capacities at our disposal, He paid His Precious Blood to make them a reality to us. Let us quit rejecting our precious gifts but instead walk fully in them as did our Lord Jesus in His earthly ministry. We are to do the things He did and more. Sadly, we are not even to the first stage say nothing of the second. This brings us back to the secondary text I have presented for the last two days.
John 7:27-31 (KJV)
27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?
In the passage above the people talking are saying we know about this fellow but when the Christ (Messiah) comes no man will know from where he came. All of that is untrue, the Old Testament is full of the Prophecy concerning the Messiah, the Christ. Jesus called them out for their hypocrisy. This has gone out of fashion today. Today, if you call someone or group out for hypocrisy you are not acting or speaking in love. What a load! How does Jesus answer? If I may paraphrase, Jesus says: you know me, you know from where I have come, you know I am not speaking on my own behalf, you know the One who sent me is Truth, and you do not know Him [but you do know me]. Are we bold enough to confront the Church and the world saying the same things. I am a man or woman of God, I am sent from Heaven, I am not speaking of myself but the One who is true, you do not know Him, I am here to facilitate your introduction.
This really ticked them off for they were the religious rulers of the day. What about now, have you seen ones who speak the Truth ostracized in the Church by the leadership? Truth is not popular among those that are stiff-necked and have a calloused heart. These people wanted to kill Jesus, but He simply walked away. There is no reason that any of us should be killed in the performance of our Kingdom assignments. As we look at verse thirty-one we see that they reasoned among themselves that most likely even this other Christ they imagined could not possibly do more miracles than Jesus. Jesus is the Anointed One, you and I are Anointed ones. Now let us not be slack any longer and get it done in Jesus name.
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
