AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

HE WHO BELIEVES
Greetings precious friends, partners, and children of God the Father. And, welcome back to this Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. This Book is very instructive in righteousness and prophetic concerning the coming Messiah and the end of days. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing, you have a very important role in this Ministry along with our partners. The beautiful picture today is of Donna and me on one of our outings. God is so good. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and continue ready out loud.
Isaiah 28:15-18 (TLB)
15 You have struck a bargain with Death, you say, and sold yourselves to the devil in exchange for his protection against the Assyrians. “They can never touch us,” you say, “for we are under the care of one who will deceive and fool them.”
16 But the Lord God says, “See, I am placing a Foundation Stone in Zion—a firm, tested, precious Cornerstone that is safe to build on. He who believes need never run away again.
17 I will take the line and plummet of justice to check the foundation wall you built; it looks so fine, but it is so weak a storm of hail will knock it down! The enemy will come like a flood and sweep it away, and you will be drowned.
18 I will cancel your agreement of compromise with Death and the devil, so when the terrible enemy floods in, you will be trampled into the ground.
The Lord is telling His people they have made a Covenant with Death (Devil) have done so in deception and are thinking their human (flesh) protector will keep them safe by deception. Now, if that does not sound like a fool’s errand, I don’t know what does. Of course, when we are in deception it all sounds so right and so reasonable. Yes, you know what I’m talking about. We want to do what we want to do. Then came the wonderful promise of the Messiah to give authority over all fear. If we will believe in this Foundation Stone, this Cornerstone (Jesus) there is never a need for us to run away from anything. We have authority over all the all except God Himself (Triune God). Let’s review three Scriptures to continue to build our faith in our authority.
Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV)
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The Word ‘power’ in verse eighteen is authority or dominion and that has been re-delegated to the children of God. The original delegation is found in Genesis 1:26. Jesus got our authority back and immediately gave it back to us (believers).
Luke 10:19 (KJV)
19 Behold, I give unto you power [authority] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power [dunamis] of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. ([] added)
Jesus gave authority to them and to us. Notice the little but huge phrase “and nothing shall by any means hurt you”. We have to choose to be hurt by failing to exercise our authority in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 1:20-23 (KJV)
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Remember in Ephesians 2:6 we are seated with Christ and thus we also are far above all principality, power, might, dominion, and any other name forever! Notice this does not specify good principalities etc. but all, both good and bad. The angels await our voice (Psalm 103:20, Hebrews 1:14) to carry out the will, the Word of God.
Philippians 2:9-10 (KJV)
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Jesus gave us His Power of Attorney before leaving the earth. We see it in Matthew 28:18-20 and the following verse.
Mark 16:17 (KJV)
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Let us build ourselves up on our most holy faith in the authority that has been given us and step up to the plate and get our various assignments done for the glory of God. God gave us all authority in the earth, nothing gets done except we exercise that authority. We exercise it in line with the will of God.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
